CHAPTER 8

Highschool Sweetheart

on his way to the room he saw the file lying on the side drawer and he took it to his room .Evan was too tired for the day to look it up and so he just kept it inside his bag. and went to sleep.

the next morning he woke up at 8 am

Evan was going to take a shower. He wore the clothes that Geralt had given him . As Evan got dressed He heard knocking at his door .

"Hurry up bro" said Tom " you've been asleep for a while".

"Coming! Just give me 2 minutes"

He looked into his bathroom mirror and brushed his teeth and hair, then left the bedroom.

When he reached the dining area Tom was already there and they sat on opposite sides of the table.

Tom asked how you slept.

" good good" Evan replied he ate breakfast Tom just smiled at him and sipped his orange juice . After a moment of silence, Tom spoke

"You know Chloe my Girlfriend texted me that she wants to meet me today after her Church service and i was thinking you can be my wing man "

Evan said "Well what is Chloe like?" and Tom sighed

"She's a very sweet girl.I love her very much." Evan could see the slight blush in Tom's cheeks

"That sounds nice." Evan tried not to smile but his mouth betrayed him

When Evan and Tom finished eating, They started heading to the town church for the sermon.

When Tom and Evan walked in they were welcomed with an excited greeting by people who greeted them with smiles on their face

As Tom walked behind Evan he felt someone touch his arm and turn to him

"Hey, How are you ? Big man not even looking at " whispered a soft voice. The person had black messy hair and brown eyes. It was Chloe

"Yes I'm fine, just tired from studying. Sorry about this"

They started walking again and as Tom followed Evan he heard a few people whispering

"Look how cute he is"

"Oh I bet he wouldn't make a good couple with someone like Chloe."

"Maybe if they broke up they can get together"

Chloe grabbed Tom's hand

"Cmon let's find somewhere quieter and watch the service ".

As Tom sat down and watched his girlfriend talking to the preacher he couldn't help notice Evan was smiling at the both of them. He looked away when he realized what he was doing. He hoped Evan wouldn't ask why he looked so sad because Tom did try to act as happy as possible, He looked back at Evan and smiled

The rest of the church wasn't very full. There were only about 4 or 5 people standing around Tom and Evan and all three of them knew this was gonna change. Chloe sat beside Tom, holding his hand tightly.Evan took a seat near Tom.

After the sermon,

Tom: Hey, I know it's Sunday but do you wanna go to lunch?

Evan: sure!!

Evan looked at Chloe and nodded in a silent apology as he realized the question was for her.

Once they had made it outside, Tom led them to an Indian restaurant. They talked until lunch time when Tom Signaled Evan to go sit on the other table ad he wanted to be alone with Chloe for a bit.

Evan didn't mind sitting alone for a bit and so he waited patiently till Tom looked Cute with Chloe sitting next to him. When Tom caught his eye Evan gave him a thumbs up sign and Tom rolled his eyes and looked at Chloe, giving her his signature smirk. Evan laughed.

When they came back Evan noticed he hadn't paid attention in what happened during lunch and now Tom looked really nervous. Evan grabbed the back of Tom's shirt and pulled him close to his ear

"Don't worry" he whispered.

Evan let go of Tom and they headed back to Chloe's apartment. As they stood there waiting for the lift Chloe wrapped her arms around Tom

"Tommy I love you so much " she whisper into his ear.

"I'VE GOT TO GO I LOVE YOU!" She kissed his cheek, then turned and ran to the elevator.Tom watched her running and sighed

"I thought this day would never come... "he muttered to himself before he Looked at Evan who was smiling

"Someone is blushing quite alot today " Evan said as he was pulling Tom's leg

"To be honest you two are Highschool Sweetheart , My two little love birds."

"Hey let's get icecream there is a very nice cafe right around the corner."

Said Tom He was so happy that all the way to the Icecream shop he skipped and jumped around .

Evan was happy seeing him .They both got Two scoops of Chocolate icecream and went to sit in the Park.
