CHAPTER 15

The Opportunity

Anna and Evan reached Anna's House

" I was looking for a paying guest you know and you're just right cause i trust you , you know my mom's condition and the biggest bonus point is we seem to have work places at the same routes so i can drive you to your office too".

Anna said

Evan was stunned at this great opportunity he was getting a place to live as well as this can be great for his plan as he wanted to take Madeline's mask off .

Evan thought to himself "If Madeline wants Anna's money she would never let a man like me near her "

Evan knew he had to be prepared at any cost because Madeline might accuse him off things too just so Anna gets away from him just like She had made Tom and Geralt look bad in Anna's eyes

Anna and Evan Both went inside the house luckily Madeline was asleep. Anna told Evan to follow her upstairs where the rental room was

Evan followed Anna upstairs to the rent room

He saw that the room was pretty big with the bed against one wall of the room with a window on the other side and a door opposite it. The wall behind the bed had a desk and two chairs which were already there and next to them a wardrobe

Evan loved the room it was everything he wanted also now he could be closer to Anna

"so how is the room?"

Anna asked

"It's really amazing i like the bed and the color "

replied Evan

"This was Tom's old room you know "

said Anna as she looked down with a sad fake smile

"Well i hope you're cozy living here i will go make dinner for us "

Said Anna as she began going out

"Hey you forgot the paper works "

said Evan

"Paper works? Oh yes yes i will get them done till tomorrow the rent is. 1500$ if its too much u can pay whatever you want though " answered Anna

"No no that Rent is quite affordable for me " Said Evan

"Great then no more worries i guess. Off i go "

Anna said as she went down the stairs and into the kitchen to make lunch

Evan began unpacking his stuff as he texted Geralt to meet him at the cafe near the Park where Tom and he had went yesterday .

Evan had all his plan in his mind

he put all his clothes in the cupboard his laptop on the table near him some books on the shelf .He made the room livable and went downstairs where Anna waited for him with Lunch .

Evan could smell something delicious from upstairs as he went down he wondered what she had cooked .

Anna was cooking a meatloaf for Evan and herself when he came down.

"Oh something smells really great what's cooking?"

Evan asked Anna as he sniffed in the kitchen Smelling all the delicious goodness coming from the oven

"Oh i sure hope you like the meatloaf i made for us ". Said Anna as she wore her mittens and got the meatloaf out of the oven and onto the Kitchen counter

Evan looked around and asked Anna

"Where's your mom still asleep?"

Anna looked at Evan and said

"Yeah she has been sleeping a lot since yesterday. Maybe its the medicines kicking in .But hey that makes us have lunch alone lets enjoy "

Anna took the meat loaf towards the Dinning table as Evan set the dishes they both sat down and ate the lunch .

Evan enjoyed eating he never knew Anna's could cook so well .

After lunch Evan told Anna that he has to go meet a friend so he won't be home till night Anna said okay and bid him Goodbye
