Chapter 11

In search of the truth

Evan had bags under his eyes since he couldn't sleep. He just wanted to go back to bed, but the thought of all the shocking event he had made him feel sick in his stomach.He always had a Stomach ache when even he was stressing alot.

"Damn it ! its not even my own problem but im stressing like i am gonna die without knowing the truth'

Evan got up at 6 in the morning and got himself a cup of coffee. He sipped it as he thought about how would he ask Tom about it all .After all he didn't wanna remind him of his traumatic chilhood again. He sat at the dinning table waiting for Tom to get up

"Maybe i should ask him about Anna and his relationship with her. Were they always good to each other or were they like those siblings who fight alot "

Evan mumbled in his mouth calculatively Thats when Evan heard Tom running down the stairs

"You're up early BroOoowww ! what the heck! "Tom Gasped as he saw Evan

"Bro what happened to you it looks like you have been fighting seagulls .You look so zombified " Tom Laughed Hysterically

Evan grabbed a spoon to see him but he couldn't ,he knew it was all cause he couldn't sleep well.

"Ha ha ha very funny Tom .I had a nightmare and i couldn't sleep"

Tom sat close to him " You saw a ghost? you can tell me sharing makes your heart lighter and your day brighter you know "

Evan looked at him and said " i saw Boogeyman"

Tom Laughed " Boogeyman isn't real evan a kid like me knows hahahahah

Evan frowned and said "See that's why i wasn't telling you .

Tom and Evan both giggled as the Maid Served them Breakfast

Maid : "Good morning Mr.Cooper I have breakfast ready if you wish" she smiled

Tom Laughed

"Yes Ma'am I'll have some eggs, toast and coffee. Thanks

Maid : "Of course sir I shall be getting started on it

She turned and walked away

Tom said " So what are the plans for today?

"Lets go to the beach today? i mean i already had a rough night we can enjoy the day i suppose " said Evan

"Oh i love beaches i will take my surfing board with me too"

They began eating breakfast and Tom continued to talk about random things while they at

When Evan finished he went upstairs to shower and clean up. After he got out and washed himself off he put on a short and a tank top . He walked downstairs to meet Tom outside with his surfing boar

"So Ready for the Waves?

"Hell yeah man let's go!"

Evan and Tom sat in the car while the driver took them to the beach

When they arrived at the sea they both hopped off their boards and ran into the water. It felt refreshing on their skin as they played around with one another.

They quickly took off to the shore and rode their boards towards the waves. As they reached the ocean waves they both dove straight in

The salty water washed over every part of their body, Evan could only sigh in relief as he swam.

They both got out of the water after an hour or two and headed back to where they had come from. They walked back to where they left their boards and then began walking along the beach towards the boardwalk

On their way there Tom started laughing at something Evan said. When Evan asked what was funny Tom kept saying

"you are exactly like the friend i always wamted you know its strange how i can relate to you we are not even real brothers " Said Tom

"What about your sister? was she not close to you ?" Evan asked as he was already looking for an opportunity to pop that question without ruining Tom's mo

"She was a great person , i mean i remember her being the smartest of her friends she was mom's favorite However we hardly spoke as anything i told her she didn't trust me at all " said Tom as he looked downbto his feet

"Why did she do that ? any clue? " asked Evan

" Well as far as i remember i was 5 when my dad brought me a big birthday cake it had a SpongeBob on it those were my favorite cartoons back then . Dad left it at the counter where my mom was i heard a loud scream from the Kitchen as i ran their i saw mom bleeding from a cut as i got to her she just smirked at me and i saw the cake was on the ground too .As my sister and Dad got their. Mom told them it was me who wanted to have that cake while she told me that its not the time yet and so i attacked her with a knife and threw the cake too ". Told Tom as he had disgusted expressions all over his face

"I was five how could i reach the counter top and yet how could i attack a grown up woman? Thats exactly what my dad siad to mom too and she began cursing me that i m making her seem like the bad person while my sister just pushed me away and hugged mom no matter what i said she always thought mom was the right person" Tom said as Tears started flowing from his eyes.

Evan was disgusted at how manipulative Tom's mom could be and he hugged Tom

"Hey your a big boy now , Its all over you know " said Evan as he wanted to Cheer Tom

"I know its just that my childhood is filled with so many traumatic memories that i just can't help it . This is the reason why i ranaway from there .
