CHAPTER 10.

The shocking discovery

As Tom and Evan went to the Basement to play videogames Evan saw a box with stickers .When Evan opened the box his jaw dropped open to see that it was a Gameboy Superstar game. He knew that game cause he played that game many times.

The game had different characters with different appearances that looked exactly like Toms character except he was wearing all black.

"Do you wanna try one? " Asked Evan as he held up a new game for Tom to try.

He hesitantly took the game and handed it to Evan and Evan put it on. He quickly pressed a button which made the new character look exactly like Toms character.

Tom was speechless as the new character was exactly like him,it was even better.

Evan " i used to play thos when i was a teenager you know ".

Tom " Wow this is so Cool , never knew my sister was good at gaming "

Evan got confused "Sister?"

Yeah i have an older sister who lives with my mom now haven't met her ever since dad brought me here .Dad found this stash of games in the basement so he brought it with him when he was moving out . Tom said as he began playing the game .

Evan thought it was strange but he began playing with Tom .They ordered a pizza and ate it while playing . After an hour Tom fell asleep while playing the game . Evan stood up and carried Tom to his room . Tucked him in bed and switched off the lights .

"Such a little soul and has been through so much ." He thought to himself as he walked to his room where he slept.

As he entered the room. Thats when he felt he needed to check his phone as ot was on silent mode .He had gotten new texts on his phone and 2 missed calls .He opened the texts

(From: Mommy

Evan,

I packed all your stuff as u had asked me too okay . I'll talk to you tomorrow okay sweetie?

Love you!

Mom)

the second text was from Anna

(Hey Evan,

Did you read the file .What do you think i should do first ? where should we start the investigation from ?")

Evan stared at the messages. He had completely forgotten about the file .

"Damn it, How could i forget to read it " sighed Evan .

He was so tired from all that walking and hanging out with Tom that he forgot he had things he needed to do on his list.

He walked over to his bag in which he had kept the file as he opened it his eyes widened in shock as Evan stared at Anna and her brother's picture

It all made sense how he first thought why Toms eyes seemed so familiar Evan thought to himself .

"Tom Cooper , Anna Cooper he is her lost brother ?"

Evan sat down holding his head he was shocked, confused and speechless . Anna says his brother was lost or kidnapped .While Tom says his mother was abusive and his dad brought him with him. Things were not sitting right . Tom thought about calling Anna but he stopped midway .

"I can't text her and tell her about Tom . What if Tom is right and Anna doesn't know about her mom's truth .But Anna's mom was crying why would she cry if she hated him?. Then again i dont think Tom is lying Either". Evan thought to himself

All this was just alot to digest for him .

Evan sat up and stared at the family picture of Anna and Tom together .

"I should ask Tom first how his sister was to him first . Then i should talk to Geralt too ".

Evan laid down on his bed trying to sleep with all the things going around his head . Evan couldn't sleep well
