If you find a group of 30 year old guys then you will surely find one guy still living with his roommates, another dropping off kids to the school, a few doing very well in career, a few soul searching still and one still looking for work. Some will say they are still feeling hopeless and a few will say that they have figured it out all. 30 year old guys are a weird bunch.
I have just tried to group them under different categories.
The total package
The total package is a complete deal. He went to a great college, is in a high flying job, he is smart and handsome, a sports buff, a music lover and a world traveller. He is not the workaholic type but is a family man type. He is caring and compassionate and passionate He is the hard to find type which girls scout for. He is still single immersed between his terror of being single at 40 and, maintaining his superhuman standards.
The new lease of life guy
He is the one who has been dating his long term girlfriend but things are not going too well and decided to break up. Now he is like a free bird that has got a new lease of life and enjoying it to the full. He dresses up well and goes around looking for the latest exploit.
The obedient son type
He is the one who lives with parents and will marry the girl of same ethnicity or his parents will not accept it. The last time he brought his girlfriend home and his mother made it clear to the girl about the rule, he has now stopped trying to convince his parents.
The misogynist
The women hate a misogynist and the misogynist hates the women. H doesn’t understand much about women but will tell you the number with whom he slept with. In earlier days he did quite well with the girls when it was all about physical relations but now only the girls with low self esteem are attracted towards him.
The guy who peaked too early
This is the guy who was every 18 year old girls dream. His super confidence level took him through the college days and he landed a beautiful girlfriend in the early twenties. He broke up with his girlfriend at 24. Since then high confidence level has gone down and his expectation of a jet setting career did not go well. Now girls are not giving much attention to her and now he has cranked down his standards a few big notches.
The guy who is finally a good catch
After losing weight and a decent wardrobe make over and a success in career early in life, he is now getting more attention than what he got all through his life. Girls find it sweet how such a guy has maintained his humility. He thinks every other girl out of his league. Once this new found confidence sinks in he is now an envy of his male friends.
A normal guy still waiting for the right girl
He likes his job and enjoying with his friends and is not bothered about being without a girlfriend. He is not in a hurry to be in a relationship and strongly believes that he will meet the right one in due time. His parents are worried as to why he is not dating anyone; his friends are trying to figure out what is wrong. He appreciates all the unsolicited support but want to be left out of the conversations about settling in life.
The guy who can’t believe he is not married yet
He is the one who is always on the online dating sites. In the college days and twenties he always had a girlfriend and enjoyed pitying his single friends. But now at 30 he is without and serious relationship and always hunting for one. He has three dating profiles and when someone asks him hy he is single he says that he is busy with the job.
The in the closet guy
He is the handsome guy with a great job. He is funny and charming but the only thing is that he is not attracted to the girls and is an introvert. He is tired of being questioned if he is a gay and clearing it a hundred times. He is still ok being single at 30.
The one who has fully quit
The guy who never tried too hard to be successful but he believes he tried very hard. he refuses to go to bar and try the dating sites. The X box which was in the closet has come out again in the drawing room and is his best companion. The guy is afraid about a lot of things but it manifests in the form of denial.
