It works very quickly, 15-20 minutes after consumption, and the effect usually lasts four to six hours, but there are also known cases when it lasted twelve hours.
These include GHB, ketamine and flunitrazepam, better known as rohipnol.
Flunitrazepam is a drug used in the treatment of insomnia (insomnia), and was developed by the pharmaceutical company Roche in the early 1970s. It first appeared on the market in 1975, and is legally sold in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and Mexico.
Worldwide, flunitrazepam is known by its brand name Rohypnol which has become synonymous with the drug rape. Namely, rapists use flunitrazepam as a means of stunning their victims by inserting it into the victim's drink, so the victim is unable to resist after consuming it because he loses his ability to reason and has reduced motor skills, and at additional doses anterograde amnesia may occur after consuming flunitrazepam.

In addition to rapists, it is also used by robbers to put their victims to sleep, and it is often used by alcoholics and heroin addicts. It is popular among high school and college students as a recreational drug.
GHB, better known as a rape drug, falls into the category of nervous system depressants. It has no color or smell, so it is easy to put it in the drink of a potential victim. Different names for GHB are also G, Liquid ....
As for the appearance itself, GHB is a powdery white form, and it can also be a colorless liquid that is often colored for camouflage. In addition, GHB may be the active ingredient in some tablets or capsules. 1 gram of GHB powder can be diluted in 1 ml of water.
It is also frightening to think how dangerous the existence of such drugs can be when they are in the hands of sexual abusers. The question that arises in itself is what a person can do to prevent being a victim of rape and the effects of the narcotics that enable that act.
There are a few simple precautions that should be followed.
First of all, neither public nor private parties should accept an already poured glass and open drinks, whether alcoholic or non-alcoholic, from people you do not know or do not trust.
In cafes, bars and clubs, take drinks only directly from the bartender and watch what he pours for you. Don’t leave your glass anywhere, and while you’re at the table don’t turn your back on the table.
