Why do customers decide what to buy and what to choose when it comes to products? Why they needed or why they wanted to purchase something in the market?

The main reason for these depends on that customer, some customer buy products because they needed it to survive and live their daily lives, and some customers buy products because they wanted it or the society wanted it for them

Customer’s purchase decisions are affected by different factors in life. There are economic factors that affect the purchase decision of a customer. It could be that they cannot afford the product that they needed or wanted to buy thus concluding their decision that they will not purchase it. There are also those customers who budget their money for them to afford some products and services that they needed and/or wanted.

Customer’s always checking their budget before making a purchase, their budget gives them the conclusion when it comes to deciding whether to buy a product/services that they want. Customers will also focus on what they need than what they want. The budget gives them the idea of whether to purchase or not. If they cannot afford it, then they won’t purchase it.

“Wow! This new smartphone is so cool and here you are with only a keypad phone.” This statement can affect a customer when someone they know said it to them. They will think about buying a new phone a smartphone one which the person who said that statement to the customer. This customer would likely look at online to purchase something, a smartphone. The idea of purchasing a smartphone just came to someone else and not the customer’s ideas. This is one of the examples of social factors that affect the customer’s purchase decision.

Family is also one of the factors that affect the purchase decision of a customer. For example, you have a child who wanted a new smartphone for their online class but you don’t like to buy a new smartphone since it is expensive but you are obliged to do so because it is needed by your child. This is an example of social factor and economic factor that affects purchase decision at the same time.

In short, economic factors that affect purchasing decisions are the  “If you cannot afford, then you can either not purchase it or save money until you can afford it” and the social factors that affect purchasing decisions are “If someone influences you to buy something”.
