Academic exercises has taken a quick revolution to what we see today as virtual learning, the effect of the pandemic around the globe triggered virtual learning as people now have to stay in their homes.

My school took to this system to ensure learning continues at the comfort of learners in their different abodes, which is now accepted by all and referred to as our new normal.

           Virtual learning in my school has proved very effective in some ways, and has also been of advantage to students in many ways. Talking about access to course works, learning material, assignments, pre-recorded lectures, and many more on the student portal, anywhere, anytime, once you are logged in to the student portal, you are at school already.

           Virtual learning has also sharpened digital skills, most resources requires learners to acquire useful ICT skills. It has also made the acquisition of various text books, course materials available at very cheap rates as we have them in PDF formats, and can be carried everywhere with cellphones, flash drives and other storage unit easily.

           More also, it has generated different platforms for asynchronous interaction between learners, irrespective of their locations. Immediate feedback on test results too as marking has been computerized, learners see their test results almost immediately after submissions are made, virtual learning has really helped in time management.

            However, virtual learning in my school has encountered some setbacks, not on the schools side alone but also the students too. The issue of mobile network, unstable power supply, high rate of data consumption during classes, Inability to carry out some practical classes, as they are still impossible to be conducted virtually, these are the few cons of virtual learning in my school.

Virtual learning experience for me has been great so far, many schools have took to this system even before the covid-19 pandemic, the pandemic gave yet another phase of possible quality education as students are still connected with teachers on the Internet.

And from now, pandemic or no pandemic, the reality of virtual learning has struck a lot and student and given many life option to quality education without attending college, as there are many online universities, diverse courses student can take and earn a degree after the stipulated time of study.

It's obvious, virtual learning has Come to stay, it's going now where!!!
