No civilized nation can move forward without thinking. Free thinking is a prerequisite for the spread of thought. A society that does not have the practice of free will is bound to be stagnant. Complementing free thought and freedom of speech. The spirit of democracy is intimately involved with this. There is no alternative to creating a conducive environment for the practice of free will to institutionalize democracy. And debate can play an effective role in establishing such an environment.
Not only sound education but his alertness and dedication too are most required.
At the present time the closest resemblance to the controversy can be observed with Plato and Protagoras.
Protagoras is said to be the father of controversy.
The intellectual debate between Socrates and Protagoras was the beginning of the modern debate. There is no record of Plato's speeches at his academy. However, philosophical expressions have emerged in his dialogues.
The Greek philosopher Aristotle is called the father of logic.
Aristotle introduced logic in his first debate. He is the one who provides a complete picture of the first argument and applies it to the debate.

Though new as a debating art, it is quite popular among the educated and conscious society. There are arguments in the debate, but that argument is logical and causal. There is no place for blind faith or superstition in the debate. There is excitement in the debate. And that excitement is sophisticated. There are attacks, those attacks are art. Though there is conflict in the debate, it teaches to be tolerant and generous. There must be differences of opinion between different individuals and groups in the society. Strong differences of opinion are indicative of the vitality of a society. This difference of opinion is marked by argument in the debate.
Winning on the competition stage should not be the only goal of the debater. I want him to win on the stage of life too.
The prerequisite for that victory is the constant practice of reason. Being rational in mind and personality is the ultimate achievement of the debater, not victory or defeat.
Debaters will debate not to argue, but to build a society where argument wins, not force. Where the emphasis is not the argument, the emphasis of the argument is established.
