PAYTACA MERCHANT MAP GETS AN UPDATE

Paytaca has launched an advanced version of its merchant map, leveraging the integration of its wallet and POS apps to promote Bitcoin Cash adoption. The map at map.paytaca.com features a “last transaction” timestamp that updates within minutes of a payment being processed through the Paytaca POS system. This allows users to easily locate active BCH-accepting merchants, with search and filter options to find specific businesses or narrow down by city. The map currently lists mostly Philippine-based merchants, but there are plans to expand to more countries soon. BCH MEETS GAMING IN ZAPIT WALLET

BCHD RISES FROM THE DEAD

After a long wait there is finally an unofficial release of BCHD, version 0.19.1, issued by OPReturnCode on August 2. This release implements the CashTokens fork, bringing bchd into consensus with the Bitcoin Cash network. While this version does not include the ABLA update, it is still suitable for use, with another release incorporating ABLA planned for the future. BCHD, a full node Bitcoin Cash implementation written in Go, serves as a robust backend for lite clients, block explorers, and local wallets. Note that this release is labeled unofficial due to pending code review, and users experiencing issues are encouraged to contact OPReturnCode directly or open an issue on GitHub. The sync process remains slow, with efforts to improve it anticipated post-upgrade.
