Snack recommendations in hot and cold weather
Currently in my area there is a change in weather, sometimes it rains and sometimes it is hot. Of course, you have to maintain your health, drink lots of water, vitamin C, and don't forget to eat healthy, especially homemade food. Apart from being natural and the ingredients are guaranteed. This time I want to recommend 3 snacks that you can make yourself. Cheap, easy to get and easy to make. The snacks that I recommend are suitable for eating in cold and hot weather.
Cheese milk corn
Before making cheese milk corn, of course you need to prepare the main ingredient, which is sweet corn. Choose sweet corn that is still young and fresh. Young sweet corn is usually characterized by its soft or not too hard corn kernels and bright yellow color.
This 3 main ingredient snack is the best choice for cold weather. With simple ingredients and very easy to make. Steamed corn with a mixture of milk and sprinkled with grated cheese is a delicious combination eaten warm. Here's how to make it
Ingredients :
Sweet corn
Sweetened condensed milk
Cheddar
Margarine
Salt
How to make :
Wash and clean the corn then
Shave the corn until the corn kernels fall off.
Next, steam the corn kernels until cooked.
Once cooked, move to a container.
Then add margarine and mix well.
Pour the corn into a serving container.
Add sweetened condensed milk and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Cheese, milk, , is ready to be served.
Benefits of consuming cheese milk corn
Corn is not only rich in fiber but also rich in minerals and vitamins such as vitamins B3, B5 and vitamin C and manganese which are its main nutrients. Corn is also rich in antioxidants. Carotenoids are found in large quantities and these phytonutrients make corn a more desirable food.
Corn is also a source of dietary fiber, this is because corn has great potential to help healthy bacteria grow in the intestines which can help reduce the risk of colon cancer. Corn can be categorized as starch and therefore it is only allowed to consume it in
Fruit ice
The second snack I recommend is fruit ice. Snacks or rather drinks that are suitable for drinking in hot weather. With a sweet taste and of course make fresh.
The fruit that I use is only 4 types of fruit. Pineapple, papaya, jicama and grapes. Or maybe without wine it won't reduce the freshness of this drink.
The ingredients for making fruit ice are :
Pineapple
Yam
Pawpaw
Sugar
Betel lime / calcium hydroxide
How to make :
All the fruit mentioned above is diced, except for the grapes, which are only split
Next, briefly soak the pineapple, papaya and jicama with a little calcium hydroxide to keep the texture of the fruit crunchy and not mushy.
Bring the water to a boil and add the sugar, stir until the sugar dissolves.
Fruit that has been soaked with calcium hydroxide is washed thoroughly so that the rest of the calcium hydroxide is not left behind.
Next, pour the sugar water into the fruit, let it cool down.
Pour the fruit ice into a serving glass, add the ice cubes and grape pieces.
Fruit ice is ready to be served
Fruit salad
The last snack I recommend is fruit salad. This fruit salad is still based on fruit and some additional ingredients, milk, yougur etc.
Ingredients for making fruit salad :
Grape
Pears / apples
Dragon fruit/strawberry
Mayonnaise
Yougur
Milk
Cheese
How to make :
First the fruit is cut and placed in a container
Next, mix mayonnaise, yogurt and milk stir until smooth.
Then, pour it into the fruit pieces and stir.
Put the fruit that has been mixed with milk, yogurt and mayonnaise into a glass or serving container.
Sprinkle the cheese. Put it in the freezer and enjoy it when it's cold.
Apart from fruit on top of other fruit, you can also make fruit salads like banana, avocado, kiwi, watermelon or guava.
Thanks for sharing these snack recipes maam. They all look palatable and are surely healthy. Eating frozen or chilled fruits as snacks or dessert is a healthier alternative.
