Don't be too arrogant to feel the most right
In a quote from a religious leader once told a story of a criminal with someone who is devout in religion. This religious person lives in a mountain where his life is mostly filled with worshiping God. while the criminal lives in a village near the market where it turns out he is a thug or a troublemaker at the market. Those who work every day are greedy for traders. Legally speaking, of course this criminal is far from being a good servant. Instead, he became a scum of society because of his behavior which is always troubling other people.
One day this religious person came down from the mountain and went to the market. To buy the necessities of life. he wants to buy rice, vegetables and other needs. On the way to the market this devout man and the criminal meet but at a distance. 2 people who already know each other about each other's behavior do not greet each other instead they actually look away from each other. what is very extraordinary here is that physically the behavior of the two is the same, both are looking away. but the intentions in their hearts are different.
This religious person who feels clean and does a lot of good deeds before God, turns his face away because he looks down on this criminal. while the criminal turned his head away because he felt embarrassed to look at this obedient and good person because he felt he was dirty, he said to himself.
I'm too dirty and badly behaved. I don't deserve to see the face of that obedient and kind person. Instantly God reversed the status of the two. This criminal becomes a good and obedient person who then repents and does good deeds. While a good and obedient person becomes a despicable person because of his pride in seeing the shortcomings and ugliness of others.
what a great wisdom from the description of the events above. God is the almighty in turning the human heart. Feeling that the most obedient and righteous self turns out to be wrong before God. and he who feels wrong is the most right.
Focus on improving ourselves.no need to be busy judging everything about others. because the only one who has the right to judge is God who is all-powerful and all-knowing about how we are.
Repent and you shall be forgiven, no matter how sinful we are , we can always be forgiven and give another chance to serve our true purpose in life .
