The ship(friendship+courtship).
Happy Sunday everyone,I hope you all had a wonderful service today? Okay quickly,I have been sleeping since but before I slept I was ruminating over something,in church today we talked about the ship (friendship+courtship),And friendship means to go extra miles for your friend, that's if you call that person your Friend, and that what Friendship is suppose to be,but it has been changed because even people that are jealous of themselves still call themselves friends, what kind of friend is that, that even when your friend is achieving more than you,you get envious of that person, that is not a friend,a Friend should be able to see his/her friend achieving something great and still support them, that is what true friendship means....
So it was said that someone who has not set a true friendship, who doesn't know what friendship means shouldn't take it further to courtship,"in quote, those type of courtship most times doesn't end well". A true courtship should start with friendship, like the two people should be friends with each other first, try to know each other, having a healthy talk not an unhealthy talk, and also in the Christian context be mindful of going to each other house too often to avoid temptations.
So a question was asked,"should you go and do duties in the house of the man during courtship"? So the question was answered in this way,yes you can do the dishes, like most ladies doesn't like seeing something dirty, they might want to sweep the floor or wash the dishes or even cook, but you do it as a duty, you are not yet married, you are still in courtship,it shouldn't be a duty yet,you can do something sometimes but not Everytime,or probably the guy will now leave it for you and call you to come and do them, that is not acceptable,so that is just the answer... But what do we think?
Do we think that should be the case or Maybe the lady shouldn't even do anything at all since it's courtship? I want our opinion on this please and also should you cook for someone you are not yet married, maybe with your money most times?
