Osteoarthritis, also known as degenerative arthritis or wear-and-tear arthritis, is the most common form of arthritis in more than 100 types. With this condition, the cartilage within the joints begins to rupture and the primary bone begins to change. These changes usually occur gradually and get worse over time. Arthritis can cause pain, stiffness and swelling. In some cases it also causes work loss and disability. Some people are no longer able to do daily work or work.

Causes 

Taking extra body weight helps osteoarthritis in many ways, and the more you weigh, the higher your risk. Increased weight lifting puts pressure on joints, such as your hips and knees. Moreover, joint tissue produces proteins that can produce harmful inflammation in and around the joints. Injuries, such as those that occur when playing a game or by accident, can increase the risk of osteoarthritis. Even injuries from several years ago and seemingly recovering can increase your risk of osteoarthritis.

Osteoporosis 

After the age of 50, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men will experience osteoporotic fracture. Anyone can have osteoporosis, but women are almost four times more likely to have it than men. There are two main reasons: after menopause the process of bone collapse remains fast, when the ovary stops producing the female sex hormone estrogen.

Some Steps to Take Care Bones 

A bone density scan is a low-dose X-ray of your hips and spine that measures calcium and other minerals present in your bones so, this scan is very helpful to identify calcium level in our bones. Calcium and vitamin D are essential for building strong bones. It is recommended that women under 50 should get 1,000 mg of calcium and 800 international units (iu) of vitamin d daily. Women over 50 years of age need 1,200 mg of calcium and 1,000 iu of vitamin D.

If your diet does not include enough calcium or vitamin d, or if you are underweight, you will be at higher risk of osteoporosis, so start eating a calcium rich diet regularly. Stay active, like a walk is great for healthy bones.
