Heart Palpitations

Beats are feelings that make your heart beat or run. These sensations are felt in your chest, throat, or neck. The heart normally beats 65 to 100 times per minute. Those who exercise normally or take heart slowing medications may have this rate less than 60 beats per minute.

If your heart rate is faster (more than 100 beats per minute), it is called tachycardia. Bradycardia is a condition in which the heart rate is below 60. Occasional extra heart rate outside the rhythm is called extrasystole. Some types of heart beat are harmless and are resolved on their own without treatment. But in other cases, a heartbeat can indicate a serious condition. In general, a diagnostic test called "ambulatory arrhythmia monitoring" can help distinguish benign from more lethal arrhythmia.

Intense emotions can trigger the release of hormones that stimulate your heart beat. Your body is ready to face danger, even if you are not in danger. Panic attacks are intense contests of fear that can last for a few minutes. Symptoms include running heart, sweating, cooling, breathing problems and chest pain. Get medical help if you're not sure which one you have.

Addictive chemicals in cigarettes and other tobacco products, nicotine increases your blood pressure and accelerates your heart rate. Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your heart, even though it can't slow your heart rate right away. Patches and other nicotine replacement products can increase your heart race. Beating can also be a sign of nicotine withdrawal, but they should stop within 3 to 4 weeks after you leave.

If the patient's symptoms are more severe, such as lightheadedness or loss of consciousness with a heartbeat, a more comprehensive diagnosis is needed. This type of diagnosis may include heart ultrasound, a treadmill test, more sophisticated blood tests, including thyroid tests, and an ambulatory ecg or holter monitor. Some patients may need a negative study if there is suspicion of a sign of heartbeat in a serious heart condition.

Some remedies to overcome symptoms of palpitations

Electrolytes are molecules found throughout the body that help in the transmission of electrical signals. These signals play an important role in regulating heart rate. You can increase the number of electrolytes in their body by eating foods rich in sodium potassium magnesium.

Dehydration can cause heart beat. This is because you have water in your blood, so when you are dehydrated, your blood can be thick. The thicker your blood is, the more difficult it is for your heart to move into your veins. It can increase your pulse rate and potentially lead to heartbeat.
