And they treated them like animals, even worse. The point of writing this article is that we should all raise our voice against FGM and try to get it banned 🚫"

Before I tell FGM, I want you to tell a true story. We often hear of different incidents of women but believe me this incident will shake you completely.

A girl named Asma has been treated very badly. If this girl doesn't fall in love with anyone and if she doesn't lose her virginity, under this fear, her mother took her to the midwife, removed her clitoris and stitched her vagina. And this was done with this girl at the age of twelve. After five years, when she got married, at her first night her husband try to untied her wife's vagina stitches by razor blade, there was a blood everywhere and the girl kept screaming him to take her doctor because she was in pain. When all of her husband's family members came to the room, they all grabbed the girl by forcefully and husband untied her wife's vaginal stitches in front of his parents and two brothers. And the girl kept crying but no one took pity on her.

The next day, when she told her mother about the night, her mother silenced her and saying that she had to stay in the same house and satisfying her husband and fulfilled his every wish. By hearing this, She already loss her faith on her family and community.

I couldn't sleep last night after hearing this. Who is to blame for all this, her mother, her husband or her husband's whole family? Every relationship with which a girl feels secure has treated her like a savage.

The behaviour with this girl was called a infibulation(removal of clitoris or covering seal is created) And infibulation is one of the type of FGM. Female Genital Mutilation FGM is the removal of external female genitalia. It is done between the age of 12 to 15 age. And it is the violation of human rights of girls. FGM has no Healthy benefits, its just harm for girls and womens. Because of this, they just only suffer and in pain.

Fact of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM):

This behaviour is carried out for cultural, social and religious issues. (I clear one point here, Asma is Muslim and Muslims religion is Islam. And Islam gives the rights and importance to the women. Her mother taken this step just because of lack of education, ignorance or stupid mind, not by religion. All the rights that Islam has given to women are worthy of respect).

This behaviour is considered as human right issues.
This behaviour is carried out for enhancing male pleasure.

Complications of FGM include:

Bleeding
Severe pain
Fever
Damage genital issue
Urinary problems
Death

Long term complications include:

Menstrual problems (painful cramps)
Sore urination
Sexual problems
Vaginal problems ( vaginal itching, discharging)
Childbirth complications.
Psychological problems

This behaviour should be eradicated in any case. And according to WHO and UNICEF, about 200 million women have experienced some form of FGM. It has been banned in some countries. And where there is no banned, should be banned at any cost. In Africa, 92 million girls at the age of 10, would going through this whole procedure. It also happened in Middle East.

Education is the only solution for this abuse. So please educate your child and also inform about the female rights.
Everyone needs to know that even religion does not tell you to do these things. No religion demand this act.
Change the traditions with the support of ancient/old generations.
We need to make others aware of the reality of FGM.
Do your best to raise your voice and banned FGM.

This whole process is completed by playing with the life of girl. FGM is a criminal offence and it is also a child abuse. FGM is a crime to humanity. And I think people under the age of 18 should understand that too.
