A Surprise Appreciation Party for our Spiritual Parents

A very tiring but joyful sunday evening to each and everyone! Recently, we organized a surprise pastors appreciation party for our spiritual parents held in our church. Actually, our Pastor's Appreciation day has a fix schedule already this coming december, but our church leaders didn't missed any chance to surprise our beloved man and woman of God in this month because October is the national pastors appreciation month. 5 days before the said celebration one of our church leader message us on messenger individually. At first I was curious of why she wanted to meet me personally on sunday, I really don't have any idea but I just agreed to her because I sensed that she had a very important matter to talk with.

Fast forward.... At exactly 6 PM in the evening, we gathered and started the conversation and planning. Both of us suggested a variety of ideas on how to run the celebration. Our department (UFY United Foursquare Youth) was assigned to cook and prepare vegetable spring rolls for our viand and buko salad as well, the mom's are preparing assorted desserts and softdrinks, while the others volunteered to buy them some gifts. The Celebration!🎉 `Sunday, October 24 2021 - 2:30 P.M` Right after our church service we hurriedly did our respective tasks so that we could start as early as possible. While our spiritual parents are chilling in their home, we also arranged the food and gifts silently inside the church so that they will not notice us. We were so excited to witness their reaction. Since everything were all set, Ate Charing (My churchmate) blind-folded the both of them, and as they enter the door we gathered ourselves preparing to say "SURPRISE!". And yes! Our goal to surprise them was successful and worked as planned.

The joy that was drawn in their faces means a lot to us already and our goals was successfully fulfilled. They just kept on laughing and seems speechless due to extreme happiness they've felt.

We started the program with an opening prayer lead by Uncle Rodel, and after that we also offered some words of appreciation and gratitude to them individually. To be honest, rendering a message to my dearest love once is my weakness because I can't totally express my emotions due to nervousness.

The next part of the program was unboxing gifts. They opened first the small gifts, then unboxed the huge one (Guess what's in there?), I'll leave it to your imagination, kidding aside. The huge box is a 2 in 1 gas range with oven. They were so grateful on everything they have receive and seeing them smile is more than enough for us to be satisfied, because they deserve more!. After opening their presents, both of them express their heartfelt gratitude acknowledging our efforts, and what's more touching is that, Pastora Mitch was crying due to indescribable feeling. We also uttered some prayers and declarations into their lives because God knows their heart and we believe that He will fulfill all the desires in their hearts in accordance to His will and power.

**Closing thoughts** Last but not the least, we ate together joyfully, and our tummies are full too. I could say that, this day was so fun and enjoyable. Our hard work and effort are paid off. We all felt tired and exhausted but God is great because He supplied all our daily needs, strength, and blessings.
