The king of Saudi Arabia has fired a number of defense officials, including two members of the royal family.
In a royal decree, Saudi King Salman fired Prince Fahad bin Turki from the post of commander of the Saudi-led coalition forces fighting in Yemen.
Mr. Fahad's son, Abdulaziz bin Fahad, has also been removed from the post of deputy governor.
The royal order said the defense ministry would investigate allegations of "suspicious financial transactions" against the two and several other officials.
The king's son, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is considered the undeclared ruler of Saudi Arabia, is leading a campaign against alleged corruption within the government.
But critics say the arrests at the top are aimed at removing obstacles to Yuvraj's rise to power.
