IntoTibet2020

#OnThisDay in 1965, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region was formally founded. CGTN launched a special journey "IntoTibet2020" to explore some of the most fascinating stories from the “the roof of the world.” Life expectancy has climbed from 35.5 years in 1959 to 68.2 years today. In terms of religious beliefs, Tibetan Buddhism, Bon, Islam, and Catholicism coexist with a number of other religions. All monks and nuns registered in the region have been included in the social security net.

As a world-renowned tourist destination, the region received more than 30 million visits in 2018. Any foreigner who wishes to visit Tibet can apply through normal channels. A beautiful and modernized Tibet awaits!
