Hello my dear friends of read.cash, how are you? I hope you are well, I have several days without internet service and they do not tell us what the fault is, they just do not respond, but I have been working and researching for the university with the balance of my phone, although it is a little slow.

Today I want to talk to you about education, I previously talked a little bit about this in the article "Class Tips".

But...

What do we know as education?

Education is a process where learning, knowledge, skills, values, habits, etc. is facilitated, this process is very important for any person, as it influences the advancement and progress of people and this affects positively or negatively to society. The education we have helps us to mold the people we are and will be in the future, it also molds the people we will teach, everything we teach will be important for them.

When we refer to the educational process we refer to the research that we have to do for the realization of learning and the development of knowledge, ranging from debates, discussions, research, etc., all this will depend on the educational process and the way in which teaching is given. Education is always accompanied by didactics and pedagogy.


DIDACTICS

It is a scientific and pedagogical discipline that addresses issues and problems related to teaching and learning processes through techniques, tools, methods, and resources, i.e., it is the set of procedures designed to direct teaching through principles applicable to all disciplines. Didactics is about training, teaching, educating and reaching a goal full of content organized through different learning methods. Didactics develops ways of thinking about teaching, since it works on creating different ways of teaching where the student has the facility to learn, didactics looks for the best way to make learning happen.

The word didactics translated from Greek means "the art of teaching", so what didactics proposes is to create a method of study or teaching that is creative, productive and achieves the most important objective, which is that the student learns.

Didactics for teaching application asks us different questions which are "What to teach?", "How to teach?", and "When to teach?"


PEDAGOGY

Pedagogy is the social science that studies education as a social and cultural manifestation, for this reason different knowledge has been created from different types of sciences that reinforce to understand the concept that we know of education. We declare education as the development that will occur throughout life, it is a development where we inquire about the integral formation of the human being, it is also the action of teaching and forming.

The definition of pedagogy comes from the Greek "paidagogeo", where paidos means "child or son" and ago means "guide or conductor". This word exists because the first pedagogues in ancient Greece were those slaves who had to take children to school.

According to the Royal Spanish Academy, pedagogy is defined as a science that studies education and teaching and whose objectives are to provide sufficient content to be able to plan, evaluate and execute teaching and learning processes.

But pedagogy is not only this, it has the function of guiding different educational actions based on certain practices, techniques, principles and methods. Throughout history, many pedagogues have been in charge of proposing their own theories on pedagogy. It must be clear that when we talk about pedagogues we are talking about people who are dedicated to educate students, pedagogues are people who have the qualities of teachers and are trained for teaching and are also professionals in the field of pedagogy.

So pedagogy is a social science that focuses on the inquiry and reflection of educational theories, methods and techniques in all stages of life. When pedagogy focuses on the study it has different work areas such as: curriculum, teaching, educational research, educational guidance and community development, etc., and as I said before pedagogy, didactics and education always go together. Pedagogy is the science that studies education, didactics is the discipline or techniques that favor learning and education is the training given to an individual or a group of individuals with the purpose of expanding their moral, affective or intellectual capacity.


Does pedagogy need education?

Yes, as I mentioned before, pedagogy needs education, they always go together, since the roots of pedagogy begin in education and have the need to systematize and create methods for the transmission of knowledge, traditions, values or culture. Both concepts are closely related, possibly both disciplines have emerged simultaneously in the first civilizations.

In order to be good educators we have to have a good pedagogy, good didactics and different ways of teaching our students, since each person is different and sees the world in different ways, it is important to always do all possible teaching techniques and use all possible tools for our students to learn. Teaching is not just standing in front of the students to teach them things, it is much more than that, it is interpreting the way they learn, it is helping them to develop in the world, I think that education is one of the most important careers, because teachers are the ones who build the people we will be in the future.
