As he lies motionless on his deathbed,
paralyzed and incapable of any movement.
He finds himself dwelling in his past, reliving all
his past mistakes and transgresses.
He listens intently and hears the stillness
and quince of the room. And at that moment
he realizes his long awaited demise was
finally coming to be.
A part of him smiles and says finally I can rest.
He felt the delight of just wanting to let go,
the pleasure of not having to care anymore
and the joy of just being completely free.
At this thought his heart felt serenity and tranquility.
And for just a moment he had a peace of mind.
But then came the other part of him, regret and helplessness and he wondered!!!
Was he genuinely ready to leave behind all he
had accomplished ,
prepared to leave behind the perfect family, a beautiful wife and two marvelous kids,
and ready to become a legacy and nothing more.
He questioned himself earnestly, was tranquility
and serenity truly worth the risk?
So with an undecided mind struggling for impossible answers, he felt a change in his heart beat on a
spur of the moment. It was time, no way
around it free state of mind or not.
He felt his weak heart getting weaker and weaker
by every pump until at last......... And then there
was everlasting silence.
