Materials required for cultivation:
Adult potato trees.
Tomato plant with diameter equal to the stem of potato plant.
A sharp knife or fork.

Method: An adult potato plant (called stock) should be V-shaped about 1 inch above the ground and the top part should be discarded.
On the other hand, a tomato plant (called cyan) should be cut 6 to 7 inches from the ground and the upper part should be cut with aga. For this purpose, tomato plant with diameter equal to potato plant is most suitable for grafting. Then the cut part of the tomato plant should be replaced on the cut part of the potato plant. This is called grafting.
The grafted part should be wrapped well with grafting wrapping tape. The wrapping tape cannot be opened until new leaves have sprouted from the replaced part.

Why the grafting method is effective: Both tomato and potato belong to the same genus (nightshades). Both plants contain a substance called alkaloids that protects them from insects. As a result, the taste of potatoes may affect the tomatoes, but scientists have been able to overcome this effect by grafting white potatoes with cherry tomatoes.
The biggest advantage of grafting is that it is time and space saving. It is possible to be more economically profitable by producing potatoes and tomatoes from the same tree.
