An unbroken country called Bengal was not born at once. Its journey begins through the villages of Bengal.

Pundra : Pundra is the most ancient town of Bengal. In Present, the Larger Bagura (Mahasthangarh), Rajshahi, Rangpur and Dinajpur was the part of Pundra.

Barendra : In present, Northwest side of Rajshahi Division which means Northern side of Rajshahi, Southern side of Bagura, and some part of Rangpur, Dinajpur was consists of Barendra.

Banga : Banga is the triangular land between the two main tributaries of the Ganges, the Bhagirathi and the Padma. The origin of Bengali nation is from "Banga". At 327 BC when Greek hero Alexander attacked India, there was a mighty kingdom called Gangaridai of Bangladesh. Ancient Greek and Latin Classical writters named this Banga as Gangaridai. Currently, Larger Dhaka, Mymensingh, Kushtia, Faridpur, Barishal and Patuakhali was the consists of Banga.

Samatat : Samatat is situated at the East and southeast of Bangla as a neighbouring side of Banga. The capital was Bada Kamata which was situated 12 miles west from Comilla Town. Several ancient relics have been found at Mainamati, Comilla. Shalban Bihar is one of them. In present, Larger Comilla and Noakhali was the parts of Samatat.

Chandradeep : Chandradeep was situated between Baleshwar and Meghna. In present, Barishal, Pirojpur, Patuakhali, khulna, Madaripur, Bagerhat, and Gopalganj was consists of Chadradeep.

Gaur : Currently, Maldaha, Murshidabad, Birbhum, Bardhwaman of west Bengal ans Chapainawabganj of East Bengal was the parts of Gaur.

Rarh : Southern part of West Bengal was called as Rarh.

Harikel : Harikel was also an ancient Janapad (present : town) of east Bengal. It was spreaded from Sylhet to Chittagong at present.
