  1. Sponge : As they seems steady like tree most of us thought that they are not animals. But they are animals. Generally they live for 200 years. Some of their species live up to 2000 years!!

  1. Quahogs : They are type of oysters. They can live up to 500 years. The main reason of their long life is, they can protect the body from destruction of proteins.

  1. Greenland Shark : They grows 1 cm every year. This animal is the world's longest lived vertebrate animals. They become youth at the age of 150 years and they can live more than 400 years!

  1. Bowhead Whale : The average life time of this type of whale is around 200 years. They are called the most long lived sea mammals. The temperature of their body is very low which is the main cause of their long life.

  1. Tortoise : They generally live more than 100 years. But some of the species of tortoise can live up to 250 years. A tortoise named "Jonathan" living since 187 years.

  1. Tuatara : Its said that, Tuatara arrived on Earth before dinosaurs!! That's why Tuatara is called living fossil. They are found only in New Zealand. Basically they can not live not more than 60 years. But some of their species can live up to 200 years.

  1. Albatrosses : World's most long lived birds are Albatrosses. Albatrosses Generally live around 50 years. But an albatross named "Wisdom" live for 67 years. She is still living and she give birth for 39 times in her life.
