History of our Prince of Builders

"Prince of Builders" is called none other than Emperor Shahjahan because he was the builder of many outstanding antehistoric architectural beauties which are still unique for their exceptional structural monuments since mughal timeline. He was renowned for his legacy of structures constructed during his reign.

Full name of Emperor Shahjahan was Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Khurram . He born in 1592 and died in 1666. He was the fifth mughal Emperor who reigned from 1628 to 1658. He was widely considered as one of the greatest emperors as under his reign the mughal empire reached the peak of its glory.

Shahjahan was forth son of Emperor Jahangir. After the death of Jahangir he reigned the Mughal Empire of Varatbarsho. And After the reign of Shahjahan, his third son Aurangzeb took the resignation of Mughal Empire.

Taj mahal

Emperor Shahjahan was most famous for building Taj Mahal. He loved his wife Momtaj more than his life. At 1631, empress Momtaj died. Mourned emperor build the great Taj Mahal in Agra on the remembrance of Momtaj, which entombs his favourite wife Momtaj Mahal. Its structure was designed with great care and famous architects of all Over the World was called for that purpose. The building took 25 years to complete and was constructed from white marble underlaid with brick.

The gold encrusted Mayur Throne inlaid with pearls was another immortal creation of Shahjahan.

Red fort Delhi

His other notable architectural creations are Red Fort (Lal Qila) in Delhi, Jam-a Masjid, Deewan-E-Khash, Moti Masjid in Agra, Shalimar Garden in Lahore, Mini Qutub Minar in Hastsal etc.

That's why he is called Prince of Builders.
