"Those who say that calamity befalls them, to God we belong, and to Him we will return."

Surah Al-Baqarah 156

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "Whoever is in distress will say, 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilaahi rajeoon,' and will say, 'O Allaah, save me from this calamity and give me back something better than that.' . ”

Muslim

The prayer is:

Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun, Allahumma ajirni fi musibati wa akhlif-li khairam minha.

Meaning: We are for Allah and we have to return to Him. O Allah! Give me reward in danger and give me something better than what I lost. -Sahih Muslim

I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say:

"Inna- lilla-hi wa inna- ilayahi ra-jaun, alla-humma 'jurani fi musibati wa akhlif li khairam minha illa- azarahullah-hu fi musibatihi wa akhlafa lah khairam minha-"

We belong to God, and to Him we will return. O Allah! Give me in return for this calamity and give me something better than that. But Allah will recompense him for his misfortune and give him something better than that.

Thank you all

Allah is Almighty, there is no end to Allah's mercy, we have to ask for the desires of our minds, we have to ask Allah through prayers and supplications. No one in this world can fulfill the hopes of our minds if Allah does not want. The more we fear and call on God, the more God will be pleased with us and fulfill our hopes.
