Workplace harassment is all too common and can ruin a great job and turn a company into a toxic and unproductive environment. Often, harassment goes unreported, as victims may be unsure of what qualifies as workplace harassment and what to do when they experience it.
****Workplace harassment**** **(mobbing, abuse, bullying ) is the belittling or threatening behavior directed at an individual worker or a group of workers.**
**We can say that this phenomenon has three main features:**
existence of violent behavior (by one or more persons towards the victim of mobbing)
lasts for a long period of time and is constantly progressing (because mobbing actually arises from a conflict that has never been resolved and that has escalated; conflict is produced and emerges)
the emergence and growth of imbalances can be in an interpersonal relationship (which is definitely violence).
****This can all be abuse in the workplace:****
**Gossip** - when one or more people spread information about another person in order to destroy their reputation and cause their departure (and achieve a better position for themselves)
**Mocking** the physical and mental characteristics of the victim
**Isolation of a colleague** - either directly or as a consequence of some of the previous behaviors
**Retaining important information** that is important for the success of the workplace, artificially creates a stressful situation, the person makes mistakes and makes wrong decisions, and the mobster presents him as incompetent
**Administrative and operational measures used by superiors** - the victim is overwhelmed by meaningless additional work tasks due to which he cannot (get to) perform the job for which he was hired and paid
**An excessive amount of work** - which exceeds the capacity of the worker and the workplace itself
**Excessive criticism** - which is also permanent; the victim begins to doubt his abilities and loses self-confidence
**Sexual harassment**

**Discrimination** based on gender, age, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, physical appearance

Do you use tinder?
Nowadays, **dating applications** are very widespread around the world. There are many different dating applications, but they are all based on the same principle. Those applications are intended to get to know people.
Personally, I use **Tinder**.
It is very easy to use. Just download the app and sign up. You also can upload your pictures and write some bio.
Search filters are based on age, gender, distance. People come out on the home page and you just have to swipe left or right, depending on whether you like the person you see. The application is suitable for all adults.
Personally, I like the fact that it is possible to make contact only if there is a match, more precisely if both sides are interested.

Who are LGBTQ people?

**So, who are LGBTQ people?**
It's very simple. They are regular people. It’s a neighbor, a saleswoman in a store on the corner, celebrities, it’s your sister or brother, a schoolmate, a coworker, a doctor, or a dentist you’re visiting, maybe even you.
The only difference is sexual orientation or gender. And that's just another difference between people, such as the color of their hair or eyes, their height, the type of music they listen to, the language we speak, the color of their skin, their religion.
**So, people like everyone else.**
The important difference is that members of the LGBTQ population are more often exposed to discrimination and violence. These are some of the most common problems gay people face:
Discrimination at home, at work, on the street.
Verbal and psychological violence.
Physical violence.
Members of this population are excluded from the legal system on many issues.
Neither marriage nor the adoption of a child is possible for them.
They do not enjoy inheritance and other rights arising from a marital or extramarital union.
There is an obstacle in the constitution for the adoption of the law on same-sex marriages.
In some states, it is punishable by law to be homosexual.
In some states, they kill gay people.
**Homophobes, transphobes, bullies, low mind people are to blame for all the discrimination and violence suffered by the LGBTQ population.**
I have to say that the position of the LGBTQ population varies from country to country. In some countries, the degree of oppression has been reduced to a minimum. **How are things in your country?**
Imagine not being able to kiss your partner in public, not being able to hold your partner's hand. Imagine you have to hide. Imagine that someone can beat you up just because you love someone. **How does it feel?**
**People are free to love and be close to whoever they want. No one is allowed to stand in that way.**

What does LGBTQ means?
**WHAT IS LGBTQ ???**
LGBTQ is an acronym for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer or questioning. These terms are used to describe a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
LESBIAN
A woman whose enduring physical, romantic, and/or emotional attraction is to other women. Some lesbians may prefer to identify as gay or as gay women.
GAY
The adjective used to describe people whose enduring physical, romantic, and/or emotional attractions are to people of the same sex. Sometimes lesbian is the preferred term for women and gay for men.
BISEXUAL
A person who has the capacity to form enduring physical, romantic, and/or emotional attractions to those of the same gender or to those of another gender. People may experience this attraction in differing ways and degrees over their lifetime. Bisexual people need not have had specific sexual experiences to be bisexual; in fact, they need not have had any sexual experience at all to identify as bisexual.
TRANSGENDER
An umbrella term for people whose gender identity and/or gender expression differs from what is typically associated with the sex they were assigned at birth. People under the transgender umbrella may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms— including transgender. Many transgender people are prescribed hormones by their doctors to bring their bodies into alignment with their gender identity. Some undergo surgery as well. But not all transgender people can or will take those steps, and a transgender identity is not dependent upon physical appearance or medical procedures.
QUEER
An adjective used by some people, particularly younger people, whose sexual orientation is not exclusively heterosexual. Typically, for those who identify as queer, the terms lesbian, gay, and bisexual are perceived to be too limiting and/or fraught with cultural connotations they feel don’t apply to them. Some people may use queer, or more commonly genderqueer, to describe their gender identity and/or gender expression. Once considered a pejorative term, queer has been reclaimed by some LGBT people to describe themselves; however, it is not a universally accepted term even within the LGBT community.
Questioning - sometimes, when the Q is seen at the end of LGBT, it can also mean "questioning". This term describes someone who is questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.

**WHY Female Genital Mutilation exist?**
The reasons why female genital mutilations are performed vary from one region to another as well as overtime and include a mix of sociocultural factors within families and communities.
Where FGM is a social convention, the social pressure to conform to what others do and have been doing, as well as the need to be accepted socially and the fear of being rejected by the community, are strong motivations to perpetuate the practice. In some communities, FGM is almost universally performed and unquestioned.
FGM is often considered a necessary part of raising a girl, and a way to prepare her for adulthood and marriage.
FGM is often motivated by beliefs about what is considered acceptable sexual behavior. It aims to ensure premarital virginity and marital fidelity. FGM is in many communities believed to reduce a woman's libido and therefore believed to help her resist extramarital sexual acts. When a vaginal opening is covered or narrowed (Type 3), the fear of the pain of opening it, and the fear that this will be found out, is expected to further discourage extramarital sexual intercourse among women with this type of FGM.
Where it is believed that being cut increases marriageability, FGM is more likely to be carried out.
FGM is associated with cultural ideals of femininity and modesty, which include the notion that girls are clean and beautiful after the removal of body parts that are considered unclean, unfeminine, or male.
Though no religious scripts prescribe the practice, practitioners often believe the practice has religious support.
Religious leaders take varying positions with regard to FGM: some promote it, some consider it irrelevant to religion, and others contribute to its elimination.
Local structures of power and authority, such as community leaders, religious leaders, circumcisers, and even some medical personnel can contribute to upholding the practice. Likewise, when informed, they can be effective advocates for the abandonment of FGM.
In most societies, where FGM is practiced, it is considered a cultural tradition, which is often used as an argument for its continuation.
In some societies, the recent adoption of the practice is linked to copying the traditions of neighboring groups. Sometimes it has started as part of a wider religious or traditional revival movement.

****Female genital mutilation (FGM)****, also known as female genital cutting and female circumcision] is the ritual cutting or removal of some or all of the external female genitalia.
**Types of FGM:**
FGM has **no health benefits**, and it harms girls and women in many ways. It involves removing and damaging healthy and normal female genital tissue and interferes with the natural functions of girls' and women's bodies.
****Immediate complications can include:****
severe pain,
excessive bleeding
genital tissue swelling
fever
infections e.g., tetanus
urinary problems
wound healing problems
injury to surrounding genital tissue
shock
death.
****Long-term complications can include:****
urinary problems (painful urination, urinary tract infections);
vaginal problems (discharge, itching, bacterial vaginosis, and other infections);
menstrual problems (painful menstruations, difficulty in passing menstrual blood, etc.);
scar tissue and keloid;
sexual problems (pain during intercourse, decreased satisfaction, etc.);
increased risk of childbirth complications (difficult delivery, excessive bleeding, need to resuscitate the baby, etc.) and newborn deaths;
need for later surgeries: for example, the sealing or narrowing of the vaginal opening (Type 3) may lead to the practice of cutting open the sealed vagina later to allow for sexual intercourse and childbirth. Sometimes genital tissue is stitched again several times, including after childbirth, hence the woman goes through repeated opening and closing procedures, further increasing both immediate and long-term risks;
psychological problems (depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, low self-esteem, etc.);

****What you need to know:****
1. Don't do anything you don't want to do, either in a relationship or after a breakup.
2. Don’t let anyone convince you that it’s necessary to send your intimate photos and videos to that person if you like them.
3. If you want to send someone your intimate photos and videos, be careful. Keep in mind that both known and unknown people, and even people who are very much in love with you at the moment, and you with them, can abuse that content later in life.
4. If it happens to you that your private photos or videos have been shared or published somewhere on the Internet - know that it's not your fault! The blame is solely on the one who did it without your consent, and not on you for deciding to take a photo.
5. Make an effort to find an adult you trust and tell them what's going on. A best friend or her older sister can be supportive, but in these more serious situations, it is good to talk to some adult - parents, teacher, psychologist…

**WHAT IS S E X T I N G?**
In modern times, sexting is a very common practice, either inside or outside of relationships - there are many who have sent sexual messages (photos, videos) to a person they like or are in a relationship with at least once in their life.
Sexting or so-called "Dirty talk" is communication via telephone or computer devices in which sexual and intimate words, photos, or videos are exchanged.
Sexting can be equally exciting and interesting for both parties involved, but it can also easily lead to abuse and breach of trust if some content is shared further without your knowledge and consent.
**THINK FIRST, THAN SEND!**
Think about **WHAT** you are going to send, **TO WHOM** you are sending it, and **WHY**. If you have dilemmas about sending, you do not trust the person you are sending or you do it because you are asked, not because it is exciting for you - give up sexting! As in any communication, so in sexting, the most important thing is that all conditions are pleasant and that this type of communication causes you pleasure, not discomfort.
**BE CAREFUL BECAUSE ALL CONTENT MAY BE RECORDED.**
While many chat apps provide the option to delete messages, and some even do it automatically (like Snapchat), it's important to keep in mind that there are ways to capture all content. Also, there are screenshots. That's why it's important to think before sending any messages, and then send it!
**IF AN UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION STILL HAPPENS, SEEK SUPPORT.**
People all over the world participate in sexting and often it remains a matter between those two people. However, in not a small number of cases, it happens that sexting abuses exactly the person in whom we had the most trust - our sympathy, boyfriend, girlfriend, friend. Maybe because you decided to break up or not agree to something you were asked to, that person will blackmail you or publish your intimate correspondence without your knowledge and consent. Always keep in mind that there is a real chance that this will happen. It’s not your fault in that situation, but it’s important to seek support!

Today, I will write about protection from cyberstalkers.
First thing is to **protect your personal information and privacy** online --->
Review your privacy settings on social media sites. Since this is where cyberstalkers love to spy on their victims, make sure that you’re not sharing too much. Adjust your settings so only people from your friends’ list can see your photos, updates, and personal info. Also, avoid accepting strangers to your social media networks.
Avoid putting geotag on social networks. Also, you can turn off geotagging to remove location-disclosing metadata from your photos.
Facebook events are great for planning, but they can also be the worst in terms of privacy. When appearing in the feed, they can show your stalker where and when to find you and indicate your interests.
Set strong and unique passwords for your online accounts and don’t share them with anyone.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) where possible to get an extra layer of security. This way, even if someone gets ahold of your credentials, they won’t be able to hack your account.
Cyberstalkers can exploit the poor security of public Wi-Fi networks to snoop on your online activity. Therefore, avoid sending private emails or sharing your sensitive information when connected to unsecured public Wi-Fi. Or you can use a VPN service like NordVPN, which will encrypt your online activity and protect your private data from unwanted snoopers.
Check how much information one can find about you online – or, in other words, check your “Google ability”. If you see that there’s too much a cyberstalker could find out about you by simply running a search on Google, try to take some information down.
Don’t open suspicious messages and don’t click on unknown links or files. They are likely to contain malware that will infect your devices. Using an antivirus is also a good step in securing yourself from digital threats.

**Stalking** is unwanted obsessive attention to a specific person. Physical stalking can involve following, secret surveillance, persistent and manipulative calling, and texting, and other means of approaching the victim unexpectedly.
What is ****cyberstalking****?
In the digital world, cyberstalkers are driven by the same intention – to embarrass, threaten, or harass their victims. However, they primarily do it with online technology.
Using technology, it monitors, spies on, harasses, or misuses another person's data for a certain period of time in order to intimidate or blackmail them.
Everything on the Internet can be used by cyberstalkers to make inappropriate contact with their victims (email, social networks, instant messaging, personal data available online, everything people share online).
Examples of cyberstalking:
Browsing about you
Catfishing
Monitoring location check-ins on social media
Visiting you virtually via Google Maps Street View
Hijacking your webcam
Looking at geotags to track your location
etc.
It is important to know what is the term "cyberstalking" and be able to recognize this phenomenon on the Internet. In this way, we can protect ourselves and others. Let the internet be a safe place.

Digital violence is any form of violence that occurs through technology. This can be violence on social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter...), chat applications, gaming platforms, via mobile phones, or in any other way that involves the use of technology.
When it comes to digital violence, we can distinguish two basic categories:
1. VERBAL (threats, blackmail, insults, hate speech).
2. Violence caused by VISUAL RESOURCES (illegal photography and recording and publishing or editing of photos/videos).
For example, I will write some ways of digital violence: - Sharing private transcripts, photos, or videos with other users without permission - Inappropriate commenting on social networks - Various forms of insult - Disturbing videos or images - Threats and blackmail - Cyberbullying...
