Fight against gender inequality like these boys!
For several days now, students in a school in Quebec have been wearing skirts to school to point out the hypersexualization of women's bodies through girls' clothes.
**The boys have joined the fight against gender inequality!** **Well done boys! Awesome move**! Did they tell you that skirts and dresses are for girls and pants are for boys? Did they convince you that pink is only for girls and blue exclusively for boys? If you’re a girl, have you ever wished you had a sweatshirt that’s “for boys”? If you are a girl, did you ever want a toy car or a toy gun, and they didn't want to buy you because "that toy is not for girls"? If you're a boy, did you want to play with dolls and barbies, but they told you "it's for girls"? I have to tell you that **colors have nothing to do with gender**. You can wear the colors you want, it says nothing about your gender. Feel free to buy all colors for both, boys and girls. Also, I have to say the same for toys. **Toys have nothing to do with gender.** Do not push children into one mold. Girls can play with toy cars and toy guns. Also, boys can play with dolls and with kitchen toys.
Let the children play and explore.
-->Don’t impose fiction on them in a gender roll set by patriarchy. Let the children choose and don't set stupid limits for them. Also, you adults, reject false beliefs! One more thing, it is **completely normal** for a man to cook, wash dishes, vacuum, clean the hoise. It is perfectly normal for a woman to drive a taxi, be it a pilot or a soldier.
I personally think that there are not sports for girls and sp[orts for boys, there are not toys for girls and toys for boys. And, if you let your daughter play with truck, she is not going to be weird, she will not change her sexual orientation. Nothing will happen. I have a daughter, and she was trainig kik box, and that is normal for me. She is still a woman. She is interested into ballistics, and that is also okay. She is not less woman then a girl who likes flowers. There are not things for men and things for women. Boy, who had female friends is not going to be gay because of that. And, yes, being homosexual is not a choice, is not sometihng what people will became becaus eof toys that thye are using, or because the games they are playing.
I grew up without those dispositions bevause my mother didn't entertain them. My brother and I were forced to do the dishes, and everything that was called the 'girls' job. We felt cheated, since my sister wasn't forced to do the 'boys' job, like washing the car and other things. Until I got to school, then I realized how deep patriarchy had been integrated with our system, even without some women doing. The men stay at home and drink and eat with their friends. The boys stayed by their fathers and learned how to be '0men' - providing money for the family and then feeling like their obligations have been completed. The women and girl children ran around getting firewood, water, cooking and having to bring food on time. To me who came from a home where all children were 'equal', this felt like a strange new world. People were surprised when I asked how the world could be so wicked to women. Some answered. 'but it's their work." I feel like your narrative greatly explains things. Great women like Amelia Earhart, Cleopatra, Queen Amina and others will go down in history as women who defied the boundaries of 'a woman's place in society'.
Great personaly story about you family. Your mother is awesome and you are better because of her. We all need to fight for equality and educate all around us. Thank you for sharing your story and your opinion
You're welcome
U mom kraju se muž pita za sve pa i u mojoj kući.
Patrijarhat na delu. Cista rodna neravnopravnost.
Great points and indeed true. I believe that kids should be left explore there world, parents and guardians should just be there to support them and give advises when necessary.
I believe in your words that toys, and colour did not have any thing with gender, boys and girls are all human and they can participate in all fields of life with equal responsibilities however girls when grown have some restrictions they need husbads children to care with so in some fields they have to step a little back.
Yes, when it comes to baby, thay need to pause work. But, father sould do half of work when it comes to baby. He also can change the diaper, change clothes and stuff like that.
And the roles too. All those fixed roles when both gender can equally excel in anything they'd like
I want to buy you a drink! :) I dont know how to fix the sociaty. Do you have any idea? I always think that education is so important, but they wont make it right.
I don't drink much XD i also think it's education though but the right kind. Something like why not start it from birth. Having a unified kind of teaching because why there's discrimination is because of a difference in teaching. If everything can be unified in one aspect, it can impact a lot in the bigger picture. Like with religion. Each is different but if you take one aspect from that that is a general truth like kindness and charity or acceptance and teach it to everyone from birth in a unified way, it would make a big difference. What changes is when people want to be atheist or something but most people just do that to escape religious hypocrisy
