Days That Will Never Be Forgotten and How Lucky You Are Today

In today's generation than in the past especially among young people is a big difference. With the arrival of the cellphone and other technological devices, the scale has changed. We were happy in our time and it is still imprinted on my mind before the arrival of cellphones and the internet. If there was no school, I and my eldest sister together with our cousins used to play house in the basement. Mom scolded us because it might burn. Made into oil, gumamela leaves and flowers are made into fish sauce or soy sauce. We built and pretend our house were roof is made of banana leaves and the bed is made of sackcloth. Pretending to be selling and anything and our money are leaves of guavas and hibiscus leaves.

Playing patintero, hide and seek using empty can of sardines. The one that I can't forget was when I together with my siblings, we went to the river to fetch some water because in our time faucet is not existing. We went to the creek to fetch some water to drink. While going to the river, we used to took a bath at the clean and cold water at the river. While my eldest and elder siblings bathing, they didn't noticed that I followed them and filled the empty gallon of water and paddled in not so deep side water of the river where they were bathing, I almost drowned and my eldest sister got scared and nervous so we came home all with wet clothes but laughing while arriving at our house just like nothing happened.

Not just like now, todays generation when cellphone and gadgets exists. There is a big difference occur because some of teens has no time to mingle and bond to their family. They are more focus on using and have lots of time in gadgets. Because of internet, young people today have learned a lot of nonsense. There is no respect for parents and even for other people because their parents can no longer discipline them because they don't want them to be reprimanded and correct their mistakes. There is no time to talk with the family because they are focused on cellphone and sometimes they don't want to eat because they are full after using cellphone.

In my times, for me to have a paper to used in school and bought my own snacks I picked some ripe guavas or I went to our farm to get some ferns to sell not just now new generation, their lives are in better situation because they will brought to school and picked up, it's not like we used to walk around in slippers that were connected by wire because there was no way to buy new ones. Sometimes it's still raining and school supplies are wet, not like today with cars and motorbikes.

Ending Thoughts

Todays generation you are lucky enough by the reason that their lives are in good situation and they are so easy go lucky. Please, don't abuse the kindness, hardships, sacrifices made by your parents. You should be thankful because not all young people have been able to study because of the hardships of life. Don't abuse what you have now and the state of life you have now because you are lucky to be in school and you were able to study because others want to study but don't have schooling because of the hardships of life so they chose to work and take the risk to help the family even if they still want to study and have decided to stop studying. Don't forget where you came from because you won't be able to achieve your success if you haven't overcome all the trials that come in your life.
