Welcome To The Corona Talk Community
Every now and then we can't avoid it and stumble into arguments about Corona, Covid, pandemics, the politics surrounding it, maybe its origins and the impacts it has had and continues to have on our daily life and society.
More often then not it seems that the main obstacle to these discussions is a lack of a common data to refer to. People keep on picking on certain aspects of a media article they read the other day -maybe even happen to mix up information- and then present half-baked knowledge in order to make their point. Not do I only catch others doing so, but I also catch myself. This is an attempt to better and to provide links, media, sources, and data to reference to later on.
This community is not to push a certain view on the matter. Everyone's opinion is welcome. I only ask you to provide references. Maybe it makes sense to also include the country at the end of the title if the scope of your article is limited to that.
Now let's start with some definitions that we're all on the same page what we're talking about.
Coronavirus (coll.) refers to the virus SARS-Cov2 which is short for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 [0].
COVID-19 refers to the disease and is short for Coronavirus disease 2019 [0].
Happy discussing
Keep it civil and classy
