Truth or Happiness. Intriguing and inexplicable at the same time, this one gets us.
“Which one should we take?” We ask.
For one thing we all know the distinction shouldn’t exist, but the reality is far from what we wish.
Yes, as we wrap ourselves in material happiness, we turn a blind eye towards the truth. We deceive and manipulate to remain in the illusion of material happiness.
We turn brutal and wild, licking our own hands soaked in blood of killed innocence. We roar like a wild animal to mark the achievement, superiority over others.
With the toxin flowing in our blood, we lie to keep truth buried beneath our rotting body. Rising like a bile that leaves us with bitter taste, the undigested truth wanting to come out, yet only lies we speak. As we speak, the foul smell of our lies doesn’t bother us, and we do our best to deny its existence.
This is sickness where we have to make choice between two inseparable entities. Yes, it is sickness, and it won’t stop until the body rebels against the mind.
