When There's a Fight

Violence should be stopped not cheered nor documented for entertainment purposes.

Nowadays, there are many instances of fighting over such things that seem to not be easily resolved by a peaceful talk between the people involved.

With the emergence of technology and how social media dominates the medium of communication, a private talk can now be spread online which makes things worse as other people mingle with an issue that they shouldn't be involved in the first place.

Maybe, you are all familiar with these instances as well where a supposed to be private matters are dragged in public and such issues get worse because of the unnecessary opinions and hates expressed by the netizens.

Sometimes, what's ironic in this scenario is that, the people involved dragged their issues in public, and later on demand privacy.

Furthermore, there are also some cases when known personalities make money from other people's issue without even thinking about how much humiliation and stains they caused.

What's happening with some people nowadays?

Are issues more valuable than good deeds?

Do people feel more entertained with issues instead of moral actions and behaviors?

Are they more active in gaslighting rather than fixing themselves to achieve their best version?

It's quite saddening to know that some people nowadays are more active in bashing or hating people they barely know. They think that having such negative attitudes makes them cool and brave. Some even called themselves "unbothered king/queen" when in fact that makes them less of a person for having a trashy attitude.

On the other hand, I saw a video posted by a trusted media outlet where there are two people engaged in a fighting scene which I think is very dangerous and violent.

I don't know the real reason/s behind their fight but according to the caption, the problem emerged through online conversation which was not resolved immediately and lead to physical violence between the people involved.

The video is very disturbing to look at where there are two girls involved, fighting as if they're ready to commit a murder. They're fighting to death, not thinking about how much pain they caused to each other, and they are not bothered with their surrounding at all.

But that's not only the disappointing scene I watched. Numerous people were watching them yet no one ever thought of stopping them nor called the authorities. Everyone is cheering as if they're motivating the two girls to fight more. Some of them even have their own phones yet they used it in taking videos instead of calling the authorities.

What's happening with these people?

Instead of thinking on how to resolve the problem, they focus more on entertaining themselves with it.

Yes, it may dangerous to stand in between such fights, but calling the authorities will help resolve the problem instead of just watching them fighting to death.

This scene will never be cool and entertaining to watch. This shouldn't be normalized, and should be punished with appropriate legal actions. People should be more exposed to good things instead of being engaged with things that will lead them to danger.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

A problem should be resolved in private instead of dragging it to the public's eyes. And as for the majority, we should learn how to limit ourselves in engaging with other people's lives. We should pay more attention to what's good instead of making others' issues as a source of entertainment. Being called "marites" is never be a compliment nor a funny nickname for people who like gossiping.

Let's be more mindful with our behaviors and actions.
