TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE

How did I evolve the role of this family?

Ohh! I didn't get to attend one of the best schools in town.

Just because you were not born with a silver spoon doesn't mean you don't have the right to become better.

Or because you didn't have the opportunities some people have doesn't mean you have to let your life remain stagnant or become worse.

Stop wallowing in self-pity, when you have the power to change things.

Take responsibility for your life.

Taking responsibility for your life means that you accept that only you have the power to change things in your life not anybody else.

Taking accountability for your life also implies inhabiting a life with a basis and goal. It indicates you are sure of what you want and you are doing things that would make you fulfil your purpose.

Yes, you didn't choose your family, your country but you have the power to change things. The strength to be adequate, to be the nicest.

Stop criticizing the tribe for what is occurring in your life.

Self-pity isn't going to solve anything.

You have to begin seizing accountability for your life. Nonentity is moving to perform that for you.

When you take responsibility for your life you change from being the victim to the victor.

INCREASE YOUR FIRE

Recently while I was in the kitchen, I noticed that what I was cooking was taking more time than usual so when I checked I realized that the fire was low and I had to increase it.

Are you wondering why things are not working the way you expect?

Are wondering why you are not making progress?

Check if your fire is still burning.

Check if the fire is high enough for you to glow.

Check the place you missed it. So you can make things right.

Try to increase the fire, do better, put your best in everything you do.

ARE YOU WONDERING  WHY  THEIR FIRE GLOWS?

You are amazed at the fire, at how they glow,  at how they keep the fire burning. But can you do all it takes to keep the fire burning? Can you bear the sleepless nights, the criticism, the annoying moments?

Can you be patient enough to go through all of those bumps and portholes? Can you pay the sacrifices they paid?

You yearn for knowledge of what is making them burn, we want more, do you want to know what keeps them burning.

-They believed in themselves

-They paid attention to true criticism and worked on their flaws.

-They were consistent

-At those times when they felt weak and tired they wanted to quit but they never gave.

-They wanted to become better

-They wanted to be happy in the end

- They wanted to be models people could look up to

- They wanted to burn so they could light others from their fire.

BECOMING A BETTER YOU

Where are you?

I mean you that was shouting "new year, new me".

Hope you've realized that a new year doesn't change a person except you decide to change.

If you just realised that or you have not realised yet then you are lucky, the year just started.

But you just have to start now, let the change you desire begin now.

Stop the procrastination!

It's the new year already.

Get your things ready and start the journey to becoming better in 2021.

In your  journey to becoming better:

Believe in yourself.

Never compare yourself, your progress to anybody's, everyone runs at a different pace.

Don't be intimidated by people's progress.

The trip of a thousand leagues, they say commences with a stride.

Start small, start anywhere, start that business or learn that skill that you've been procrastinating about.

Do things regularly that would move you closer to your goals.

For example, let's say I planned to punish two e-books this year. Then I could start by writing regularly.

Be consistent.

VOTE YOURSELF OFF THE ISLAND!

We all want the best, we want to become better, but somehow, we just end up in some day's Isle, an Island where we postpone things that can help us reach our goals.

You will be like 'I'll learn that skill someday, I will do that exercise someday, I will work on my health someday'.

You want to do it someday, knowing fully well that you need those things to reach your goals.

You just need to vote yourself off the island, do things even if you feel or don't feel like, take the necessary steps.

You also have to learn self-control and self-denial.

In self-control, you have to be able to control your emotions, your appetites, control what you say or do etc.

While in self-denial, you have to be able to say no to some things, those things might give you pleasure at that time but They would not help you reach your goals. Things like:

- Spending too much time on irrelevances, knowing fully well that it would affect your finances.

- Sleeping at those times you need to invest your time in reading or learning new things etc.

Those things are going to give you pleasure, but It's never going to help you reach your goals.

Procrastinating about things isn't going to make you better instead you will just end up wasting time on things that wouldn't add value to life.

Stop procrastinating!
