The first ever commercial robot was created by G. Devol , an American, in mid of 1952 and gives name of unimate. The first purchaser of that robot unimate, which actually was an arm to lift heavy loads, was G.M vehicles. Unimate also known as first recognised robot on earth as well.

Later in last decade of previous century Japanese made revolutionary inventions in robotic world and bring robots in commercial use in different ways.
