Gender discrimination means disparity between men and women in an inferior in competition with the manifold. Gender discrimination in Bangladesh begins at bath and the position of women in Bangladesh is much lower than that of men. It begins with the birth of the female child and most parents want to have male child so they can help their parents doing domestic work and contribution to family income. In the existing socio-economic setup for our country male children are best suited to this purpose.
The factors behind the discrimination of women are many some of them are noted below
(1) religious MS 3 Pareshan and social is fixes discourage often prevent girls from going to co educational schools and even in Urdu and schools girls are not allowed by many parents to live in student halls because they fear for their gas safety.
(2) early marriage and childbearing make women tyre to home and with no possibility of going back to school. Any expenditure for their girls safety.
Our society considers the woman to be weaker and inner strength and wisdom. So they are faced with discrimination in the affairs of employment and career building and this problem of gender discrimination can be solved creating general awareness among the people about the talents and importance of female and removing social superstition appealing against them. Besides the following action should be taken immediately they are the attitudes and practices regarding women should be changed.
Girls and women are not less important in society. They can contribute to the development of a society like man. Without gear equal participation and contribution knows it can be development and the parents teachers and all concerned should be careful about the truth about that treatment with the girls and women. To reduce gender discrimination people must have true education.
