Gender discrimination means disparity between men and women in an inferior in competition with the manifold. Gender discrimination in Bangladesh begins at bath and the position of women in Bangladesh is much lower than that of men. It begins with the birth of the female child and most parents want to have male child so they can help their parents doing domestic work and contribution to family income. In the existing socio-economic setup for our country male children are best suited to this purpose.

The factors behind the discrimination of women are many some of them are noted below

(1) religious MS 3 Pareshan and social is fixes discourage often prevent girls from going to co educational schools and even in Urdu and schools girls are not allowed by many parents to live in student halls because they fear for their gas safety.

(2) early marriage and childbearing make women tyre to home and with no possibility of going back to school. Any expenditure for their girls safety.

Our society considers the woman to be weaker and inner strength and wisdom. So they are faced with discrimination in the affairs of employment and career building and this problem of gender discrimination can be solved creating general awareness among the people about the talents and importance of female and removing social superstition appealing against them. Besides the following action should be taken immediately they are the attitudes and practices regarding women should be changed.

Girls and women are not less important in society. They can contribute to the development of a society like man. Without gear equal participation and contribution knows it can be development and the parents teachers and all concerned should be careful about the truth about that treatment with the girls and women. To reduce gender discrimination people must have true education.

Gender discrimination describes the situation in which people are treated differently simply because they are male or female, rather than on the basis of their individual skills or capabilities... Here are five major challenges still facing women in the workplace. Unequal pay. On average, American women are more educated than men. ... Sexual harassment. An obstacle that many women face in the workforce is sexual harassment. ... Racism. ... Women are promoted less often than men. ... Fear of asking to be paid what you're worth... treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit: racial and religious intolerance and discrimination...One of the most common causes is considered to be man and the onus has been on males. Man is considered the most powerful/dominant and his behavior entailing discrimination towards women is highlighted in many studies and articles..... Gender equality is when people of all genders have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities. ... Gender equality prevents violence against women and girls. It's essential for economic prosperity. Societies that value women and men as equal are safer and healthier... Gender equality is intrinsically linked to sustainable development and is vital to the realization of human rights for all. The overall objective of gender equality is a society in which women and men enjoy the same opportunities, rights and obligations in all spheres of life.... positive discrimination in the workforce is the act of favouring someone based on a "protected characteristic". This could be: Hiring someone with a disability in order to fulfill a quota. Promoting a specific number of people, simply because they share a protected characteristic.... The gender pay and pension gaps, 16.3% and 38% respectively, put older women in particular at risk of poverty and social exclusion which creates barriers to health services. Further, gender role conflicts, total workload, and unpaid work have potential adverse effects on women's wellbeing and long-term health... Employers who use positive action measures may find it brings benefits to their organisation, including a wider pool of talented, skilled and experienced people from which to recruit and a better understanding of the needs of a more diverse range of customers...
