It was tough battle ahead for all family members. As my mother battling heart disease, we are all praying for her recovery.
As it is difficult for the family to admit our mother in the hospital due to her age and environment in the hospital as her health will be compromised due to covid situation.
Together with my siblings, we arranged the cardiologist, the doctor to visit our ailing mother.
The doctor is very honest with us and she knew the condition of my mother as he was the one who checked her when she admitted in the hospital couple of year’s back to be exact it was 2019.
As he finished his diagnosis and consultation. He gave instruction to my brother about the medication and what will be need to do when the worst case scenario occurs.
As my sister in law gave the consultation fee. The doctor did not want our payment as he instructed the family to use it for the necessary medicine that is needed for her current condition.
We were touched by the gestures of the attending doctor. Sometimes, it is not about the money. It the personal touch that bonds between the Doctor and the patient.
The Doctor loved my mother as his own mother that spells the difference. Sometimes, it is not about the medicine that cure the patient. It is more of emotional attachment, the love, the attention we can give to our loved ones.
Sadly, I can’t do that because of current restriction due to pandemic.
