Abstract
The story is about a little prince named Bojji who is deaf but above all naive, because despite many criticisms from his people about his accession to the throne, he does his best and dreams of becoming the greatest of kings. Review
The people of the kingdom look down on the young Prince Bojji, who can neither hear nor speak. They call him "The Useless Prince" while jeering at his supposed foolishness.
However, while Bojji may not be physically strong, he is certainly not weak of heart. When a chance encounter with a shadow creature should have left him traumatized, it instead makes him believe that he has found a friend amidst those who only choose to notice his shortcomings. He starts meeting with Kage, the shadow, regularly, to the point where even the otherwise abrasive creature begins to warm up to him.
Kage and Bojji's unlikely friendship lays the budding foundations of the prince's journey, one where he intends to conquer his fears and insecurities. Despite the constant ridicule he faces, Bojji resolves to fulfill his desire of becoming the best king he can be.
To me, it has a unique story with a unique execution. It also has its dark side and there are always uncomfortable events happening, hindering the protagonists’ journey. I cannot describe the way evil is portrayed in this anime - the use of evil figures is mysterious, and there are always good-willed people that end up making evil deeds as well. But what makes this fairytale special is the feeling of hope it radiates, as well as assurance that there will be joy, love and positive or meaningful outcomes as the story proceeds. As you continue watching, the anime got darker and focused mostly on the world build up, which was something totally different from your average anime series.
One thing that intrigues me the most the actual use of sign language in the anime. I know there are have animes where sign language is used but this is really awesome. To conclude, though with only 20 episodes released so far i'm already convinced this is going to be an unforgettable anime.
So am recommending this for anyone reading this you'll definitely enjoy it.
Dear friend, thank you for introducing this beautiful anime. By your definition, this anime is definitely meaningful and inspiration. Animes have amazing stories, and they can evoke our emotions with all their might.
