History is never to be forgotten

(Need to know)

Babura from Kolkata said, "There is no need to have a university in Dhaka. There is a Farmgate, there is Dhanmondi. Make an agricultural college next to it."

Angered by such vested interests, Sher-e-Bangla Fazlul Haque approached the British Lord and explained that a university must be established in Dhaka. This time the British became a little more flexible --- but the university was established a little late due to World War II. Sher-e-Bangla Fazlul Haque was the Education Minister of Bengal when Dhaka University was established.

Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque was elected president of the Muslim League in 1918. The following year, in 1918, he became the General Secretary of the Indian National Congress. He was the only person in history to be the President of the Muslim League and the General Secretary of the Congress at the same time. In 1917-19, Jawaharlal Nehru was Fazlul Huq's personal secretary.

In the 1937 elections, Sher-e-Bangla Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque announced that if he won the elections, he would abolish the zamindari system forever.

Zamindars from all over Bangladesh and Kolkata have come together and spent millions of rupees to prevent him from getting elected. No profit --- the peasants voted for their leader.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah addresses the Lahore session of the Muslim League. Suddenly a rumor started, it was seen that no one was paying attention to Jinnah's statement. Jinnah thought, what happened? This time he saw Fazlul Haque entering the stage through a corner door, everyone's attention is now on him. Jinnah then said --- When the tiger arrives, the lamb must give away. It was at this conference that he raised the historic Lahore proposal.

The conference of the Muslim League was held on March 22-24, 1940 at Iqbal Park, Lahore. At this conference, Bengal tiger Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque proposed the historic Lahore. He said in his proposal that in the reality of Hindu communalism, it is impossible for Hindus and Muslims to live together. The solution is to establish an independent Muslim state with a Muslim majority in the northwest and another independent Muslim state with Bengal and Assam in the east.

Maulana Zafar Ali Khan of Punjab, Sardar Aurangzeb of Border Province, Sir Abdullah Harun of Sindh and Qazi Isa Fazlul Huq of Balochistan supported the proposal. The proposal was passed unanimously at the conference.

Fazlul Haque was very concerned and somewhat agitated by the rising level of Muslim persecution in the Hindu-majority provinces at the time of the Lahore resolution. He once said in his speech, ‘I am Muslim first, then Bengali (Muslim first, bengali afterwards)’. At one point in his speech, he said, "If any other Muslim is persecuted in the Congress-ruled states, I will take revenge on the Hindus of Bengal."

Fazlul Haque, who formed a coalition government with Shyamaprasad three years ago, leaving Suhrawardy and Nazimuddin behind, made such a statement that it caused a great stir in India at that time.

The present Pakistan state is based on the Lahore resolution. Therefore, March 23 is celebrated as Republic Day in Pakistan.

But a few days after the Lahore resolution was passed, Muhammad Ali Jinnah resorted to cunning. He said the proposal was misspelled by the Muslim majority states; In fact, the state. Jinnah was of the opinion that two Pakistan could not be established on either side by negotiation. So we have to make a Muslim majority state by writing state in place of states.

Because of Jinnah's cunning, Fazlul Huq did not join the Pakistan movement with him. When the young Sheikh Mujib rushed to establish Pakistan under Jinnah, the veteran Fazlul Haque opposed Pakistan. 'He could have guessed what would happen to the people of Bengal if Pakistan was established. That is why he has opposed Pakistan. Bangabandhu wrote in his unfinished autobiography .......

"

The soil of Bengal also fell in love with him. Whenever I went to say something against Mr. Haque, I was interrupted. One day I remember holding a meeting in my own union, why did Mr. Haq leave the league, why don't you want Pakistan now? Why did he form a cabinet with Shyamaprasad Mukherjee? I was discussing all this, suddenly an old man who was a big fan of my grandfather, used to come to our house all the time, had a lot of respect for all of our family - stood up and said, "Whatever you say, don't say anything against Mr. Haq." If he doesn't want Pakistan, we don't want him either. Who is Jinnah? I haven't even heard his name. Our poor friend Mr. Haque. ” After saying this, I started lecturing in a different way. I did not try to blame Mr. Haq directly anymore. I understood why we have to establish Pakistan. Not only that, whenever we went to show a black flag against Mr. Haque, the people beat us up. Many times I was forced to flee with the students, beaten. "

Bangabandhu's father said, "Father, whatever you do, don't say anything against Sher-e-Bangla. Sher-e-Bangla did not happen to Sher-e-Bangla just like that."

Fazlul Haque knew that it would never last if India was left in the middle and Pakistan was united in the west and east. "Jinnah has circumcised my Lahore proposal," said Fazlul Haque, who was not active in the movement to establish Pakistan.

In 1947, Jinnah merged Suhrawardy's two Bengalis and accepted the demand for an independent United Bengal. But due to the opposition of the Congress, Bengal had to be divided in the end.

Fazlul Haque said, a Pakistan will never last. Bengal and Assam should be made separate independent states.

In 1971, it was found that Fazlul Huq's fears and predictions were correct. Sher-e-Bangla Fazlul Haque was able to predict that something like 1971 would happen only in 1940. So in 1940 he wanted to make Bengal and Assam separate states. In other words, the first dreamer of independent Bangladesh was Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque.

The 1971 war was the implementation of Fazlul Huq's Lahore resolution. If the Lahore proposal had been accepted as Fazlul Haque had raised it, there would not have been bloodshed in this country in 1971.

In his career, he was a well-known lawyer of the Calcutta High Court. One day his junior came with a bunch of magazines in his hand and said, "Sir, look, the Calcutta newspapers are spreading your notoriety by writing page after page --- you are not saying anything." He said, "They are writing against me. I am doing something for the farmers. The day they praise me, they will think that the farmers of Bengal are in danger. "

Muhammad Wazed Ali is a well-known lawyer of Barisal Bar. Once Wazed Ali's opponent brought a young lawyer Fazlul Haque from Calcutta to deal with Wazed Ali as the issue of the case was complicated. Fazlul Haque At that time only Fazlul Haque, Sher-e-Bangla did not happen then. He has come to fight the case, but the opposing lawyer did not know the news.

When he came to the court, he saw his father Wazed Ali standing against him. Fazlul Haque started arguing naturally.

At one point, Wazed Ali addressed the court, saying, "What he is saying is not legal. The law is like this ....... This new lawyer does not understand the law well. “

Fazlul Haque replied, “What if he is an old experienced lawyer? He is the farmer's son Ukil (actually his grandfather Akram Ali was a Persian scholar), what else does he understand by law? I am the son of a lawyer, my argument is correct. “

He has been practicing law in the Calcutta High Court for over 40 years. Before passing the law, he did Triple Honors in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Calcutta University. Masters in Mathematics. The story of tearing the pages of a book once read as a child is like a fairy tale in the mouths of everyone in this country.

In the budget session of the Bengal Provincial Council, an MP started attacking Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque personally. MP Sher also wrote a song against Bengal and started singing the song in a hoarse voice while delivering the budget speech of the parliament. It is difficult for anyone to keep a cool head in such a situation.

"Mr Speaker, I can jolly well face the music, but I can't face a monkey."

This time there was a serious disaster. No one expected such a comment from a leader like him. Meanwhile, the MP demanded the Speaker to apologize at this moment and withdraw this unparliamentary statement. The speaker was in another danger - how could he give such an order to such a great leader.

Sher-e-Bangla was an intelligent man with a cold head. He stood up and said --- "Mr. Speaker, I never mentioned any honorable member of this House. But if any honorable member thinks that the cap fits him, I withdraw my remark."

Knowing that Professor Abdur Razzak wanted to write his biography, he said, "Razzak, tell me the truth, what do you mean?" Professor Razzak said, "I like this very much. When you come to Barisal, it seems that you have been farming for many years, and when you call Shyamaprasad Babu a brother in Calcutta, you feel like a real Hindu. No matter what you say, be it true or false, people believe it without hesitation. "

Mahatma Gandhi's grandson Rajmohan Gandhi wrote in his book - There are three leaders lying in the shrine of three leaders, two of whom became the Prime Minister of Pakistan. One was not allowed to be the Prime Minister of Pakistan, but he was the real tiger.

But this is not an imperfection of his life, he was holding all possible positions except being president at some point in his life. He was the first Prime Minister of Bengal, the third Chief Minister of East Bengal; Union Home Minister of Pakistan, Governor of East Pakistan, Chancellor of Dhaka University.

Fazlul Haque said in answer to the question why he is doing only East Bengal politics instead of all-India politics - if he gets on an airplane, the following things may look small and blurry, so I am on the ground. Although he did not board a political airplane, he sent his private plane to Saudi Arabia to have a meeting with King Saud Fazlul Huq.

This man of infinite courage has told us to fearlessly protest against all unjust injustices. He warned the Bengali nation long ago. He said that a nation that puts its children to sleep in fear of cats, how will they learn to fight with lions?

Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy was the teacher of Fazlul Huq. Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy's remarks about Fazlul Haque in conversation with Abul Mansur Ahmed:

"Fazlul Haque is a pure Bengali from head to toe. At the same time Fazlul Haque is a pure Muslim from head to toe. I have never seen such a wonderful combination of genuine Bengaliness with pure Muslimness. The combination of Bengaliness and true Muslimness is the nationality of the future Bengali. "

Fazlul Huq's contribution to the establishment of Bangla Academy, the first Boishakh public holiday. But above all, Fazlul Haque has won the love of the people because only one person has done politics for the farmers in this subcontinent where there is a majority of farmers and workers. He is - Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah came to Dhaka in 1947. The students strongly protested when Urdu was made the state language. Jinnah also held meetings with students. But the students were stubborn. Jinnah's idea is that Fazlul Haque is provoking the students. In Fazlul Haque's mind, students are opposing Urdu. Jinnah now wanted to meet Fazlul Huq. But Fazlul Haque did not agree to meet. Fazlul Huq personally disliked Jinnah.

Fazlul Haque finally agreed to Jinnah's insistence. The two great leaders spoke behind closed doors. But Azizul Haque Shahjahan, Fazlul Haque's personal assistant, later wrote about what kind of conversations took place in English.

Jinnah: You never wanted Pakistan. You have been opposed all the time.

Haque: I made the offer. He was later circumcised. I didn't want it.

Jinnah: You don't want this part of Pakistan to survive. So you have made the students feel bad by bringing money from the Indian Congress. They are harassing me.

Haque: I don't do any politics here. I only think about the case in the High Court. I take the law to court.

Jinnah: Do you know who you are talking to?

Hawk: I'm talking to an old friend of mine.

Jinnah: No no, you are talking with the Governor General of Pakistan.

Hawke: I know the power of a constitutional governor general.

Jinnah: You know what I can do to you?

Haque: (pointing the thumb of his right hand) You can do my aye. Mr. Jinnah, it should not be forgotten that this is Bangladesh and you are talking to the Royal Bengal Tiger.
