Custodians of the country policies
Advocators of money laundering
The masters of corruption
Vultures that feed on carcasses
With their talon fingers,
Squandered our wealth
and feed on our national cake.
We had you represent us, represent our constituencies
and even our States.
Although, we never see you come to our aids.
We were told to pray for the country
Pray for the leaders that born our burdens
Are we not going to be worried?
Our senators promised us earth
Treating us like babies when they were not there
Promised to build for us a castle and launch it in the air
Promised to kill the poverty and bury penury
Promised us panoply of comforts and platinum of goods
Now that the ball is in their courts
They seat in the power house and order the chef
They call the bankers and send the cheque
They build the mansion in their homeland
Generator as light
Borehole as water
Camera as guards
Now that they've become a parvenu
An icon in the capital but a stranger at he
Killing our future with their parochial policies
Our senators are mortals that live like an immortals
Our senators are follies born in exile but die as a king
