We should speak truth it has many benefits. We can develop the patmosphere of piece by telling truth. Telling lie is root of sins.

@AleemKhan I assume you mean atmosphere of peace. The Prophet (SAW) also said "Speak the truth even if it is against yourself" .This underscores the importance of truthfulness. The one who is willing to tell the truth even if he will apparently lose something in the eyes of men will surely be truthful in all of his other affairs. May Allah make it easy for us to be among the truthful ones.

Yes, telling lie is a root of all sins. We all should avoid this to be safe from all sins. Who doesn't want to go to jannah?
