Juventus: voting for the goal song with the official fan token - The Cryptonomist
Chiliz and Socios.com have recently published a new press release explaining how the official fan token of the Italian Juventus football team will be used.
Through Socios.com users and fans will be able to participate directly in surveys and other events such as some club decisions, using the new $JUV (Juventus Fan Tokens).
Juventus, with over 423 million fans worldwide, is the first in the world to have this type of token which can already be used to participate in the first survey to decide which song to use when the team scores a goal. Until now it was “Chelsea Dagger” by The Fratellis, but now fans can choose from a new one:
Blink 182 – All The Small Things
Blur – Song 2
House of Pain – Jump Around
P.O.D – Boom
As mentioned, in order to participate in the vote it is necessary to have the tokens which can currently be bought at the price of 2 euros or retrieve some through the augmented reality game, Token Hunt.
Moreover, these tokens can also be used to buy products as there will be a marketplace.
This is just the first step in the football world when it comes to blockchain and crypto, explained Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com:
“The tokenisation of Juventus is a seminal moment for football, but it’s also a huge step forward into the mainstream for blockchain and cryptocurrency. Through Socios.com, regular football fans are being introduced to cryptocurrencies, as well as a blockchain platform where they can take part in the club decision-making process using digital assets”.
The same opinion is also expressed by Giorgio Ricci, CRO of Juventus:
“We are proud to be the first Club to be activated by Socios.com on its platform, inaugurating a new way to interact with our fans around the world. This partnership shows once again how much technological evolution and innovation are two priorities for Juventus, also in the way we relate to and connect with our fan base”.
The advent of the crypto world in football has already started quite well, especially since there are already several football clubs that have chosen this platform, such as Atletico Madrid and also A.S. Roma.
Wow, this is amazing, hoping to see the same with Spanish football teams
