💅 Skin Care Recently, may dalawang concerned citizen (si mama at isang coworker) ang nagsabi na maitim daw ang ilalim ng mata ko. Mukha akong puyat na puyat. Kaya napabili ako ng eye cream. Celeteque Eye Tuck plus Dark Circles Lightener - first time ko siya ita-try. Kagaya ng ibang Celeteque products na gamit ko, tama lang ang price nia sa budget ko..Mas maraming mahal na eye cream kaya happy na ako. 276php siya sa Mercury Drugstore for 15ml. Sana nga mabisa siya. 🌼

🍩 Donuts! Nagsabi si mother na parang gusto nia ng donuts kaya ayan nilibre ko siya. Minsan lang din siya magsabi ng cravings kaya ok lang. Si Kim Soo-hyun pala ang endorser ng Dunkin' ngayon? Hindi ako pala nood ng korean dramas kaya sinearch ko kung saan siya gumanap. Nagka cameo role siya sa Crash Landing on You at may pelikula siya na parang interesting 'Secretly Greatly.' ang title. Kapag may time ako papanoorin ko at gagawan ko ng review. 😍 Happy lunch time! Wag kalimitan mag break at kumain!

🎃 Happy Halloween! Hindi pa talaga ako nakaranas ng party tuwing Halloween. Bukod sa pang western ang event na ito, usually pagdalaw sa sementeryo ang inaasikaso ng pamilya ko tuwing ganitong panahon. Pero nakakatuwa kasi yung mga costumes na pinaghirapan at sobrang ganda lang talaga. Tapos may candies pa para sa mga bata (at feeling bata). 🤣 Yun talaga ang inaabangan ko tuwing Oct. 31. 🤒 sick day Yesterday I experienced high fever, colds, and headache. I recovered a bit today after resting and taking medicine. Medyo sad lang at hindi ko masulit ang bakasyon dahil wala akong nagawa kundi matulog at humiga. Masakit po talaga ang ulo ko kahit mag cellphone hindi ko kaya kahapon. 😐 I ran out of medicine so I bought online via grab. Ang mahal din pala magpa-grab grocery and delivery pero wala kasing lalabas ng bahay kaya no choice ako. Right now i have cough, a little headache and runny nose. Reminder for everyone to eat well, rest, and take vitamins because getting sick is really annoying at expensive!

Self- update: Ok naman ang family ko. Pero di pa nakakauwi ang kapatid ko dahil duty nila until 10 pa kanina. Sana makauwi sila ng ligtas ng sister-in-law ko. Non-stop kasi ang ulan. I wish everyone can be safe from the typhoon here in the Philippines. There's a lot of flooding, landslide and heavy wind and rain. Ingat po sa lahat. 🤍

Currently have sore throat, runny nose and feeling feverish. Sayang at mahaba ang holiday pero may sakit naman ako. Mahirap talagang mag expect at mag plano ng gagawin. Kaya ito, rest lang ako buong maghapon. Sana gumaling ako agad. 😐

🎧 The Astronaut ~ There is a new song by one of my favorite artists! Jin of BTS! This song was created by both Coldplay and Jin. I love the music, a little upbeat, mellow, something you can sing along to. "When I'm with you, there is no one else. I get heaven to myself." This part of the chorus is catchy, and the lyrics is heartwarming, a message of love, talking about a bond between people. Like an astronaut, floating in the darkness of space, looking at the Earth. He is seeing his home right in front of his eyes. For me, I interpret the music video like this: Jin is an alien, seemingly stranded on earth but had somehow managed to live here. A spaceship crashed nearby, and he decided it must be time to go home. But we see a montage of his time on earth, and it was him forming a bond with his found family. Should he leave?? At the last second, infront of the spacecraft, he decides to stay. He looked contented and determined. He is home afterall. 💜

So many things to do so little ~ energy Remember Edward Cullen? the vampire from Twilight? He's also super rich, and that is because they lived for hundreds of years. They don't need to sleep, eat vegetables, go to the toilet, or even bathe. They have all the time in the world, work 24/7 and never ran out of energy! Plus they have good looks 🤣 if only this fictional cheat code is real. We are just human beings and we need to take care of ourselves - physically and mentally - to fully function and be productive. If we neglect our needs we might get sick or worse! So remember to give ourselves time to recharge! Ps. I don't really want to be a vampire, because I don't think I can hunt prey.

🌱 New Era... October is my birthday month and so is the birth of my account here. I'm still enjoying noise.cash and I hope to enjoy my time here too. I'm taking baby steps, still learning to navigate the site but everything seem to work smoothly so far. Leche Flan. My sister-in-law gave this to me. I won't eat everything all at once, because this is too sweet. I am actually trying to cut eating a lot of sugary stuff, but sometimes I just can't help it. So I just drink lots of water everytime i eat or drink something diabetes-inducing. ,😂 I will try to eat healthy for my sake tho.

Ghost Files Halloween is near and I thougt it's great to watch a couple of Ghost Hunting episodes from Watcher. I like Ryan and Shane's dynamic They are not overly serious, because they say and do funny stuff. Ryan believes in the supernatural while Shane is a skeptic. Per episode they explore different locations to prove if ghost are real or not. It's entertaining and fun to watch.

For the rest of my life BTS had a free concert in Busan City just hours ago. Hindi ko masyadong napanood kasi nagka-crash yung mga apps dahil sa dami ng online audience. I am hoping na magkaroon ng re-run bukas para ma enjoy ko yung concert ng buo na walang lag.

Start of weekend I plan to do a lot of chores and watching today. There is a BTS concert that i could watch, and a bunch of Ghost Files videos too. Last night, I had this vanilla ice cream with banana and reese chocolate chunks. It's delicious that it vanished immediately 🤣 I hope u enjoy the weekend everyone!

I need U ~ This song is one of the earliest hits from BTS. It's a song about youth's love and pain, from their album HYYH or The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, their Youth trilogy. When I first heard the title I thought that it was going to be a ballad. That time, I was just beginning to listen to them so I was surprised to hear rap verses, and for it to have a choreography. This song also has an interesting music video. In my opinion, if you are curious about BTS, you can check this song and mv because it shows them at that time when they were still younger and are still starting to find their identity. I'm Fearless ~ This song was released months ago but I started listening to it these days. It's from a korean girl group called Le Sserafim which is an anagram for 'I'm Fearless'! Although there is also a thing called a seraphim - which is a celestial being. They are from a younger batch of kpop groups. I like the melody of this song. Although sometimes it gives me a weird anxious feeling? maybe because of the beat. 😅 it kind of feels like a heart thumping. 🌻 Pause and Breathe Daily activities and situations could be overwhelming. Sometimes you don't even notice how tired you are feeling from just living your life. One thing I'm learning to do is to meditate and do breathing exercises. Close your eyes and just... inhale, exhale... repeat a few times. Doing this made me feel a little bit better in tense days. If you find it hard to remain still, you can also try listening to nature sounds like the rain.

Happier ~ This song is by Olivia Rodrigo. I'm not heartbroken but I really like the tone of this song. It feels heavy but there is a snarky feel in the lyrics and tune that I like. Happier is from Olivia's album Sour which is full of songs narrating about a person moving on from a failed relationship. "I hope you're happy, but don't be happier.." The singer says.. The narrator is self-aware of how she can be selfish, but she is still struggling to move on and feel better about the situation. I appreciate the honesty! Moving forward is a process and I think it's not wrong to feel miserable for a time before you can completely accept what happens next. It's part of self-growth. photo source: spotify

My hand was swelling a little and it hurts since yesterday. I took painkillers and I'm trying to use Salonpas. It's RSI or Repetitive Strain Injury. I think I strained it from using the keyboard last week, then on Saturday, I thought it wasn't serious so I did my usual laundry and crocheted! By Sunday the pain and swelling worsened. Kinda my fault, so I filed a sick leave today so I could rest.

The Road Ahead Self care and improvement is not a straight, and not an easy road. Sometimes there's wobbling and stumbling, stepping backwards, getting lost, falling down, but I have to tell myself that I have to get up and try walking the path again. This is a little journal area for me to share small steps I take towards self love. And maybe I can inspire others to try as well! Currently raining and listening to rain sounds with music playing in the background. This is my favorite ASMR. 🌧️🎧 It's still August so I'm listening to a song with the title 'August' by Taylor Swift! This part in the lyrics fits too. 'August slipped away into a moment in time' The month went by a litte too fast for me! I feel a litte sentimental about it. Thunderstorms are common these days here in the Philippines so always take care, check the weather report for floods and landslides, and bring an umbrella.

Have you noticed purple Snickers in stores? This is a collaboration of the brand with BTS. They are a world famous South Korean group. Snickers made their packaging in color purple and placed the BTS logo in the packaging. They also changed the labels of the chocolate bars to different songs from the band. This one is 'Never Mind' One of my favorite songs from them. One of the lines go like this: 'Never mind, never mind, No matter how thorny the road is, run' 😼 It tells you to keep pushing through obstacles and move forward despite failures. It's one of my motivational songs!

I was going to post yesterday but my internet connection was acting weird. I tried this parfait from Indulge MNL shop in Quezon City. They had a lot of options but I chose this one because I got curious about it's name. It's 'called Matcha made in Heaven. Masarap siya! It has the matcha ice cream, sweet beans, crunchy cereal bits, small matcha kitkats and whipped cream. Malaki naman ang serving niya for me. Medyo naumay lang ako ng konti nung bandang dulo. haha. Next time, mag try ako ng ibang flavor. 😋🍨

Gone Home ~ This is a game developed by The Fulbright Company. Although it has mix reviews, I think this game is well-made. The plot is about Katie, the protagonist going back to her family after months of vacation abroad. Katie's family inherited this mansion and when she got home, during a stormy night, her family is nowhere to be found. So you kinda have to investigate the whole house to know about their whereabouts. Especially Katie's sister Sam. It's more like an interactive novel and you really need to read journals, explore the place and literally check the drawers and cupboards to unlock things and to learn the whole story. I love stories and reading so I appreciate the gameplay. It's simple but still fun. 💖

Eyes on Me ~ I was really young when I first heard this song from Final Fantasy. It's by Faye Wong. That time I didn't even know the lyrics or what it was about. I just knew it because my older brother would play the game and it's the theme song. I suddenly remembered it and thought of checking the actual words and its meaning. "I saw you smiling at me, was it real or just my fantasy?" Now I realized that the singer is actually talking to someone special to them, but they are not sure if the other person can return their feelings. 😖 while they are in front of the stage, they spot their loved one, and confesses to them. The song has a beautiful and sweet melody and it kinda feel like something I can sing at karaoke. 🥰 It's nice to look back at the past and hear it again. There was an earthquake this morning. I was at the office and I thought I just got dizzy. The world was really swaying! Luckily, I was at the ground floor when it happened. It was a magnitude 7 earthquake. Although the epicenter is a bit far from our city, we still felt it. I'm thankful that we are safe and I pray for everyone's well-being. Ingat po tayo! 💙

Leaves Ben&Ben is a famous band here in the Philippines. They are also internationally recognized. This band has two vocalists, twin brothers - Miguel and Paolo. The name 'Ben' actually came from the singers' shared name Benjamin. One of the first tracks I listened from them is a song called 'Leaves'. It has a mellow and sad vibe. It talks about being hurt, forgiving, and hope. "Leaves will soon grow from the bareness of trees And all will be alright in time..." The lyrics is heartbreaking. You could really feel the sadness in the lyrics as well as the singer's conflicted emotion of choosing whether to leave or stay with the person who caused them pain, their want to forgive, and the optimism that things will work out well because their love is worth it.

Officially Missing You - Cover by Lee Su Hyun This song is originally from Tamia. Lee Su-hyun is from the duo called AKMU. She participated in a show called Begin Again where Korean musicians like herself go to different places around the world and they do street busking. It's an interesting show for me. She is a great singer and also a good pianist. This particular song is one of my favorites. I listen to this and her other songs when I'm working or just relaxing.
