Manik Miah, a shining star in the history of journalism in Bangladesh, was born in Bhandaria, Pirojpur district. He passed BA from Barisal Brajmohan College and worked in Pirojpur Civil Court. Then with the help of Suhrawardy he got a job as a District Public Relations Officer in the Government of Bengal.
