Independence Day
Independence Day is a day of glory and significance in national life. March 26 is the Independence Day of Bangladesh. This day is a symbol of tradition, progress and development of national life.
Bangladesh was once a part of India. After the partition of the country in 1947, it became a part of Pakistan. In the line of language movement and Bengali nationalist movement, on March 7, 1971, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared 'this time the struggle, the struggle for independence. On 26 March Bangabandhu declared the independence of Bangladesh. The war of liberation began.
On the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, processions, discussion meetings, processions, cultural programs etc. are organized. The significance of the day was highlighted in special publications in newspapers and on special radio programs.
Independence Day ceremonies invigorate our sense of independence.We observe this day with reverence.
