Torchlight 2 is a action-role-playing game or ARPG in short, that focuses heavily on dungeon-based questing. Developed by Runic Games, released for Microsoft Windows on September 20, 2012. It is the sequel to Torchlight, and features peer to peer multiplayer support, and what's more epic is, it has extended modding capabilities.
Torchlight 2 takes place in a fantasy world where players can choose any four classes of character, each with different skills and abilities. The plot starts with the destruction of the town, referred as Torchlight, at the hands of an Alchemist from the 1st sequel, and has the said character following the trail of destruction left in the Alchemist's wake as he searches for a cure to his sickness which then has driven him insane.

The classes that were mentioned earlier are;
Engineer: Formerly known as the Railman, is a heavy melee fighter who uses ember-powered steampunk tech.
Outlander: A wandering nomad who uses ranged weapons and "low magic" abilities.
Berserker: This class uses quick attacks and animal-themed special powers, as the name suggests.
Embermage: A highly trained spell-casting class with elemental-magic skills.
Torchlight 2 received mostly positive reviews from various critics. However, what is even more exciting is, a new Torchlight sequel, Torchlight 3 is scheduled for release in the late 2020. Not too bad a year for most Torchlight fans, aye ?
