Fruit Salad or Fruit custard is a sweet delicious dessert widely eaten after meal.It is made by mixing chopped seasonal fruits with chilled cusard sauce or by using condensed milk. It is a good and healthy food receipt where everyone need to be taken after meal. It help in balancing our blood sugar level or cholestrol.Eating fruit salad also help us in constantly mentaining our body metabolism.
Fruit salad is considered to be the best summer dessert.where people served just after meal or during hot summer season.
Fruit salad can be made with custard or without custard.If custard milk or cream is not available them condensed milk can also be used.Custard is prepared with cream, milk and egg.
In order to make fruit salad the best method is to choose mostly from seasonal fruit . It is better to use sweet fruits such as pomegranate,mango,apple,banana,grape,pineapple etc and avoid sour ones or citrus fruit such as lemon,orange,grapefruit,kiwi etc
we can also make fruit custard recipe without custard sauce by adding dry fruits and nuts sucha as dates, figs, almonds, pistachios, jelly and tutti fruttis instead of fresh fruit.
Ingredient required
2 cups milk
2 or 2 ½ tablespoons custard powder or corn starch
2 to 3 tablespoons sugar organic
Fruits of our choice
1 apple – chopped bite size
½ mango – chopped bite size
1 banana – medium sized
pomegranate
grape
pineapple-chopped bite size
Steps in making fruit salad with custard
Peel and chop the refrigerated fruits to bite size. Add them to serving bowl or individual serving cups.
Pour the custard sauce over the fruits and gently mix. we can also used condensed milk instead of caustard sauce if not available.
Serve the fruit salad at a serving bowl.
while making fruit salad it is better to choose only fresh fruit.rinse gently with clean water and refrigerate first.
So its important for everyone to take fruit salad everyday after lunch aswell as dinner.
