Paypal is now live for buying and selling bitcoin, bitcoin cash, litecoin and ethereum.

Years ago, the founding CEO of Paypal said that cryptocurrency is a scam.

Bill Harris joined an ever-growing list of bitcoin critics with a post that described the cryptocurrency as a “scam” and a “colossal pump-and-dump scheme”. “I’m tired of saying, ‘Be careful, it’s speculative.’ Then, ‘Be careful, it’s gambling.’ Then, ‘Be careful, it’s a bubble.’ Okay, I’ll say it: Bitcoin is a scam,” he wrote.

October 2020, PayPal has entered the cryptocurrency market, announcing that its customers will be able to buy and sell Bitcoin and other virtual currencies using their PayPal accounts.

So what's the changed of heart?

Cryptocurrency is the future. Our economy is becoming modernized and technology keep on popping out. So I believe that paypal wanted to take advantage of this. If they don't adopt cryptocurrency, they will be doomed in the long run.

Paypal just announced that buying and selling cryptocurrency is live.

Paypal: We are pleased to announce that all eligible PayPal accountholders in the U.S. can now buy, hold and sell cryptocurrency directly with PayPal.

The effects if this huge announcement was seen later this day up until now.

Bitcoin right now has break it's 80% all time high. And with this huge announcement, I believe that the $20k will be reached until this end of the year.

And this is not the end because Paypal has just launched this on some eligible accounts in the US. The effects will be more felt when it is launched internationally.
