What Voting Means To You
Tommorow will be our Election Day. Our country needs someone who will take the full responsibility of leading the country, for us citizens of the country lived a happy and prosperous life we deserved .
As citizens of the country we deserved to be treated equally in privileges accdg. to what the Philippines Constitution states.
As a citizen of the country , we are to be protected from violence, crimes, abuses, and violations of our rights and freedom.
As a citizen of the country, we are to be provided by opportunities to have work and source of income to meet the basic needs of our families and self.
These and many more , that we are entitled to have as citizens of the country must be kept in mind by the person who aspire to be the one to lead the country, accdg. to the position he aspired for.
As an active voter, we need to be discerning about the person to whom to vote. Let us be sure about the truthfulness and sincerity of the candidates regarding the position they are running for.
In exercising our privilege, freedom, as well as responsibility to vote, let it be done prayerfully and with honesty.
Let us vote the one who have not only the ability or capability to lead but really have the willing, sincere, and honest heart coupled with integrity, being true to God, himself and others with all the words he uttered in public or social media.
Voting is a Freedom
The Philippines Constitution, which is called the Law of the Land , states the Freedom of Suffrage, which is the freedom to vote. It is a freedom that every citizen or resident of the country is being given. If you are a qualified voter , citizen or resident of the Philippines you ought to exercise this kind of freedom. This kind of freedom has a responsibility attached to it. You have to register as a voter in a city or municipality you are a resident of. If you are eighteen years old and above, a naturally born citizen or a legal citizen of the country, a resident for at least one year in the city or municipality prior to election, it is your responsibility to apply for registration as a voter.
Voting as a Privilege
Voting indeed is a privilege, since a person must be 18 years old and above before you can vote. A person who only resides in city or municipality within a period of at least one year prior to election can register to vote. Only registered voters who are active voters can vote.
Voting is a Responsibility
Being a responsible registered voters is expected from a person who has the freedom and privilege to vote. Failure of a registered voter to vote twice consecutively will not be allowed to vote. He or she will be deactivated.
How you give meaning to voting , is what you can probably do this coming election on May 9, 2022. I just hope every registered voters have given the best meaning to voting.
Let us all be ready to vote. Have a lists of candidates you are going to vote ready.
Be sure you know your precinct number .
Be sure you know what to do and not to do when you are in the place you are going to vote.
