We all can acknowledge the need and importance of commitment. We also need to realise we have different capacities. So for your commitment to be lasting you need to commit to what your strength can handle per time. Going beyond that may be detrimental. Yes we all want to achieve big goals which is great but doing far more than you can handle at a time can be difficult to such a degree that it demotivates and may even make you ineffective.
So the idea is to take on a life and pace you can comfortably commit to so the goal does not become a burden but a joy.
The best way to go is take what you can handle, and grow. The more you do, over time using available leverage, you can do much more. Remember growth is in stages and phases!
A butterfly does not return to a caterpillar after it is mature. We must learn to grow and evolve into a stronger, wiser and better version of ourselves. Life occurs in stages and taking a step at a time is key to learning and growing.
You need to be content with small steps. That's all life is. Small steps that you take every day so when you look back down the road it all adds up and you know you covered some distance. It took me a long time to accept that, but it's true. You need to have patience.
Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid of standing still.
