Relating Tuesday With Women

When I started to think about what I could write and this topic came to me in my sleep and I decided to meditate on this article.

What does the Tuesday Woman mean? First, it addresses the place of a woman in our society.

Think of Tuesday, it's one of those days that you don't really pay attention to. Even though you use it every week. It exists every week. You live it every week.

But somehow, it just doesn't rate. Workers do hype other days except Tuesday. People will start preparing for Monday starting from Sunday. Let's look at the days of the week; Sunday is for church, Monday is the starting day of work, Friday is for the Muslims, Saturday is for parties and resting, Thursday and Friday is for burial in my country, Wednesday is for school cleaning, entrepreneurers cleaning and meetings..... But what happened to Tuesday???

I mean, we can all agree that because Tuesday is a day of the week, we need it. But it's not recognized. Very rarely would you see people holding weddings or parties on a Tuesday. In fact, if you see a wedding being held on a Tuesday, you will start to wonder: what is wrong? You might start to even think they don't have enough money to throw a Saturday party

In a way, that's the place of women in our society.

We are the birthers and the nurturers. Sometimes, we are even the breadwinners. But somehow not rated. Not as highly as men. In the same way that Tuesday is not rated as highly as one of the other more popular days of the week like Saturday or Friday.

How many of us here have been underestimated simply because you are a woman?

Maybe you've been told you are not strong enough or that because you are a woman, you are too emotional to handle something?

That's what I mean by "A woman's Place."

Society assigns us a place that we can be and sometimes that's a good thing, but what happens when God's calling on your life is outside the place society assigned for you?

That's when you start to get pushback from people.

Let me give you a personal example.

Who here knows Joyce Meyer?

I listen to her messages and I believe in God's calling on her life. So I was talking to a guy in my Bible study about her and he said, in a nutshell, that it is not normal for a woman to preach the word.

Can you imagine what would have happened if her husband thought the same thing? The Lord's calling on her life would not have been fulfilled!

All of us here who have been blessed by her or encouraged by her message would not have been encouraged!

So that's it in a nutshell, dear sisters. Society assigns women a place in society but sometimes God calls us to be more!

Let me end with this Scripture story.

You remember when Jesus went to visit Mary and Martha and Martha was busy in the kitchen, trying to prepare meals. For Martha, that's where society said she should be. In a kitchen making meals. But what did Jesus say? "There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Luke 10:42

For Martha and Mary, in that moment, Jesus was calling them to sit by His feet and listen. But Martha was distracted by what society's assignment.

This is not to say that there is anything wrong with cooking dinner! After all, if you don't cook, how will you eat? 😁

But we need to make sure that we behave not according to what society says "a woman's place" is. But what God is calling us to do!

Tuesday is important too and women are important too.

Woah... Have never noticed this....not for a moment.... Tuesday is part of the week and each day is important therefore women are important in our society... Without Tuesday, the days of the week isn't complete and also if there's no women in our society then life will be incomplete....

You reasoned well dear
